Sorensen Moving & Storage

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I hired Mayflower to move our belongings from Florida to Utah, Sorensen Moving & Storage handling the pickup and Arrow Moving & Storage handling delivery. As of today, we are still missing approximately 20 boxes and a king-size mattress. Neither Mayflower nor the subcontractors have located our items, and all we hear are repeated, vague responses: "we are still looking" or "we don't know what happened". No one is taking responsibility.

Salesperson and billing were very kind and professional - the star is for them. The moving team leader was rude and complained about having to work. He told my husband that it was more than what our quote covered and would cost us $10000 - sent my husbands blood pressure through the roof. Asked to use the restroom, and then peed all over my floor and didn't clean it up. That was just packing day. When unpacking I discovered numerous items broken because they weren't even wrapped.

Beware of the insurance coverage! This company is extremely deceitful, they marked every piece of furniture I have as badly worn, scratched, or dented. Of course all my furniture is not damaged and some pieces were even brand new. Then use this as an excuse to not honor your claim because (they say it was damaged before it was shipped) The sheet is every hard to read and with the stress of moving I missed this and foolishly signed.

I have moved many times in the last 20 years with Sorensen Moving and Storage and have always had a good experience until this last move, which was from TN to Florida in June 2015. The crew did a great job, showed up on time and finished all the packing and loading in one day. My belongings were moved into Sorensen's “climate controlled” warehouse in Melbourne, FL. During the year that my items were in storage, I once paid for warehouse access to remove a few unboxed items.

EDIT TO ADD: In response to your response, nice try. I did NOT reach out to Mayflower of my own accord. Your office insisted I do that because nobody in your office will help. We do NOT have an agreement because I refuse to pay you MORE than you are owed. You are insisting my mother PAY YOU $1850 in discounts you admit (I have it in writing too) that you owe her so that you can then turn around and PAY HER BACK $1850. What kind of business model is that?

My parents moved from Massachusetts to Florida and used this moving company. In October a video call was setup to assess furniture and items to move. December was the move. I’m going to keep this simple and get to the point 1. Not everything in the house was packed up 2. The mover (Wally) kept making an excuse that his 52 foot semi could not fit up our driveway, so he had to use a U-Haul to move items to the semi (which was parked in Peabody, roughly a 2 hour drive away from our house).

HORRIBLE!! DONT USE!! NIGHTMARE!!! DESTROYED OR LOST EVERYTHING. Anyone is better than this company. They will NOT repair or replace your items. DONT believe what they say. Also as written in other reviews they will mark on the inventory sheet that your items were "scratched, damaged, worn". Even if they were brand new in perfect condition. They do not care AT ALL that your belongings are completely destroyed or missing.

So we just moved from Rockledge Florida to Alabama. I hired Mayflower who subcontracted to Sorensen. First of all , when the woman who did my initial video walkthrough of the house to give me an estimate, we discussed in detail that I would be likely selling a lot of the large furniture pieces prior, and I was reassured that at the time of the move, my price of the move would be readjusted for the decrease in the amount of furniture.
