College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Marietta

Absolutely horrific. We had to hire College Hunks because they were the only movers available on our move date. I submitted feedback via their website to no response whatsoever, so here’s some public feedback. 1) The estimator did a horrible job. He severely underestimated the move time and we ended up paying almost double the estimate. On move day, this clearly upset the movers and they had a bad attitude about how long it took. 2) They have no idea how to fit furniture through doorways.

Worst movers ever!!!!! Unprofessional from the management to the people in the field doing the work and moving. They stole my gun and charged me double for the move that was 1.5miles away. On top of them throwing my items into my storage any type of way. I spoke to management and left a review with the company and still no resolve no help not understanding no apology, nothing! I chose to wait at least a month to try and get some resolve without going public. Still no resolve.

The positive: The customer service was great. They came same day to give me an estimate to remove one standard refrigerator. They were punctual and polite. The negative: The two guys that showed up to "give me an estimate" acted as if they were just coming to pick up without quoting me a price. I stopped them and asked them to tell me the price first and they quoted me $210 to haul away one standard fridge. They said it would take up 1/6 of the truck and they charge for the amount of space it takes on the truck.

I used College Hunks extensively when I was moving from Nevada to Georgia. I had some very large and heavy items they took. I was very pleased with them in Nevada, so called them here in Georgia for my house in Woodstock. I will say the crew that came was prompt and efficient. However, when I asked for an estimate, he said looked like about 1/4th truck, but no dollar amount. The next thing he said was because it was so close to the truck, there would be labor charge, and looked like no recycle fee. Excuse me?

This is without a doubt the absolute worst moving company I have ever dealt with (and we have moved a lot). One of the 3 guys they sent to help us load our Uhaul stole my mom's wedding ring from my night stand. It was in a surgical container that had to be unscrewed to get the ring out, and after they left, I found that container on my bedroom floor - cap unscrewed, ring gone. That ring wasn't worth much money wise.

I’ve used this company services in the past and had the pleasure of having two wonderful guys help with moving. Unfortunately, today I spoke with employee Eric, whose customer service was absolutely horrible to say the least. I placed the quote online prior to the business opening, I received a call from the company, the representative said hello and disconnected the call. He then sent a text message stating we were unable to get in touch with you and to please give us a call. I called back and spoke with Eric.

Seriously seriously over priced, poor service, careless movers. If I could give 0 stars I’d give 0 stars. The crew lagged the entire move, delaying the process. Including the recode to second location, gps 4 min from the first, took them 25 min to get there. They claim they got lost and had to stop for gas. All adding to the time I’m paying for. Once they arrived to the final location I was told the guy left the tools and screws for my items at the original spot, 25 min away.

My husband and I used College H.U.N.K.S. for our move in Atlanta and had a great experience in 2020. Fast forward to last month and this was the worst moving experience we have both experienced. My husband booked and paid for both a packing and moving service. They originally quoted us for a single day, tried to change the timeline only a couple days before our move, then landed on adding more people to get the job done which cost us more. That was not ideal but all worked out until the actual move.
