College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Newnan

Easily the best and worst experience Move date July 9th Pros: Movers Demetric and partner were kind and as efficient as they could’ve been. Cons: Moved into a brand new house. Nothing and no one has ever occupied it. Granted, things happen, the movers damaged the walls in a few places and broke my canopy bed. I advised the mover, Demetric at onset, he broke my bed and he immediately denied it. After the move I spoke with the manager Brittney and she initiated a claim. I waited a month for progress and nothing.

Had a less than ideal experience moving apartments with this company. After 20 minutes of them arriving, one of them was on their phone, not moving anything. They said they could handle it, so we went to lunch to get out of their way. Upon returning… There was a third person there moving things. We were charged for this and find it to be very displeasing that there was no communication that a third person was necessary.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I would give zero stars if I could. This company completely dropped the ball on our move. They left behind several large items that absolutely should have made it on the truck—things we clearly expected to be moved. The truck was packed terribly, with tons of wasted space, which is likely why everything didn’t fit. Isn’t packing the truck properly kind of the bare minimum for a moving company? When I reached out and told them they needed to make the situation right, they completely stopped responding.

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience with College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving. While the movers were courteous, their lack of attention to detail caused unnecessary damage during my move. One of the workers broke a blade off the ceiling fan in the master bedroom due to carelessness. Damage like this is avoidable and reflects poorly on the level of professionalism I expected from a company of this reputation. Even more frustrating was the claims and reimbursement process.

Let me 1st say the 4 young men that actually did the work were amazing,Matthew, Trey, Kevin and David worked incredible hard and were very professional. The estimator was professional however my job was GROSSLY underestimated. They estimated 4 guys and 1 truck and 6 1/2 hours. I sold several items that they were supposed to move. At 6 hours they hadn't even finished loading the first truck.

***BEWARE*** We hired College Hunks to move everything from our old home to our new one. Initially, they quoted us $1,500, but that quickly changed. The final cost was unclear, and management was unhelpful when we tried to resolve the issue. On top of that, our front storm door was damaged, the refrigerator door was dented, and the freezer handle was left loose, and oil stains are all over my brand new driveway from their moving truck.

I genuinely didn’t want to leave a negative review — I’m not someone who goes out of my way to hurt anyone’s business. I’ve tried to resolve this privately and professionally, but at this point, I’ve been left with no choice. While the movers themselves were polite and worked hard, the company’s handling of this move has been extremely disappointing.

I had the unfortunate experience of using College Hunks out of Fayetteville. The only good thing about the move was Howard and Dillon. The Owner Chris, knowingly sent a visually impaired person to my home to complete my move. I was forced to assist moving my own furniture due to the owner sending someone who can’t do the job. The person u fit to assist also caused damage to the home I was moving out of. When he did this, he informed me that he was visually impaired and didn’t realize what he did.
