1-9-2024 No responses to my calls even when the manager took my call and promised to get back to me on the next day Monday when we spoke Friday. They took excellent quality furniture which was to be donated and despite a separate meeting at the site arranging this, when they came to pick up all the furniture they obviously carelessly broke it down and threw it in a truck to bring it to a dump. No tax forms for donations.

If you plan on using these guys, make sure you take the estimate they give you and double it. They absolutely screwed me. Was quoted $560 and the bill ended up being $1,080. If I knew it was going to be that much, I wouldn't have hired them. No one offered to come out and survey the place I was moving out of - I didn't even know this was an option until the manager asked me if someone asked me this prior to the move after the move was completed.

Absolute worse move of our life. We moved in mid-September and towards the very beginning they scratched floors in the basement of our old house-we pulled the movers aside and said hey you know what things happen we get it, BUT the new house has brand new $15,000 floors and we have we spent our savings on this- please we are begging you take precautions and cover the furniture and/or floors. Their response ok ok yah we are so sorry we’ve got you and the floors covered.

I needed to make an addendum to my original post. Aidin and Christopher were very nice, and friendly. Alex started out that way. I provided customer service with all of the information needed to say how big the move was. They show up with a small truck. We were not able to take everything from the house to the new house because of this. Now, we are making multiple trips back and forth. I paid the invoice I was sent as the move was happening.

I had to cancel my appointment for the labor and they would not refund my pre-payment even though service was not renderd. I had booked my appointment only days before so your policy is not conducive to the customer.
Company Policy is 14 day prior and you get your refund The reason for this we bring in a crew and take the stop off the schedule and we can replace your spot
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. I used this company on Wednesday 10/14 for my move. The movers were really fast packing up my apt which I was excited about as I was quoted for 2 hours. We get to the drop off location and start unpacking. I’m watching them haul in my tv and noticing that they definitely did not properly protect it. We open the tv and there is a huge crack down the side and it’s completely broken. I filed a claim with the movers (Alex, Jonathon and Larry).

I am leaving my initial 5 star review from 4 years ago below as the actual movers have been great each time I have used them. On February 27th, I booked what would have been my 4th job with College Hunks for April 1st. Last night (3/19) at 9pm(!), I received both a call and an email from Paco, Operations Manager, stating that they had overbooked for the 1st and wondered if I could move the 31st instead.

Edit: Called the number they suggested and empty promises about manager results in 1 week of no call returned. Do not recommend. We scheduled a move for a 1 bedroom apartment. Arrived late, we were supposed to start at 4 but started about 5. No idea when they started billing us as start time is not noted on the any documents.

Cannot say enough about these guys. Alex Nate and Salavator worked diligently with impeccable care as if they were moving their own families into a new home. From the moment they arrived they went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and they appreciated our trust in them with our belongings. Disassembling beds, carefully covering each piece of furniture and skillfully maneuvering them out of the houses onto the trucks (yes we had two) and into the new house.

I really wish I could split this into two sections. The front office would get a rating of 2/5 but the junk removal staff definitely earned a 15/10. When booking my appointment I was very clear about timing needs and told the day was wide open so there were no concerns. The driver didn’t make it to the window because they booked him with four different jobs within the time frame just before my appointment.
