Awful experience, would never recommend. The most disrespectful, unprofessional person I've ever encountered as the "manager" of the crew of 2. Simple job (moving a treadmill from location A to B) . After 45 minutes attempting to take the handles off of the treadmill she ( manager) informed me she wasn't qualified to do take a treadmill apart, and I then requested her to stop . She told me that she would be charging me anyway, and she was already there.

I was scheduled for a donation pickup at 8:30 on a Thursday. We did have some snow come in but schools were on a 2 hour delay. I got a call at 7:00 am saying that they wouldn't be able to come at all because the driver couldn't get out of his driveway so they asked to reschedule for the next day. I said that it had to be a specific time not the usual 2 hour window because I had a fairly tight schedule for Friday.
Hello Melinda, we do apologize that your experience was not exceptional in every way possible. We are sorry if there was any miscommunication, but it appears our team was there at the start of the window and had been in communication prior to this via phone to give updates on our status.
The service was terrible. We booked them for 2 hours and they intentionally stayed overtime and we were charged more than we were initially quoted (because of the overtime). They also packed HORRIBLY. They did not stack anything, they just put everything in the uhaul in one layer and there was no room left for the other things we had. My family and I had to repack the uhaul (which took 3 hours) and then finish packing our stuff which took us until midnight and we got out late the next day.

Do not hire College Hunks. They moved me from Bellevue, NE to Lincoln, NE in June. They broke my recliner and put hug dings in my walls in 2 places. I called right away and they sent me a damage claim form. Never did hear from them so, I continued to reach out to them. Finally talked to someone in Oct. and resent the forms again, still no response. It now has been 7 months and nothing! I had almost $500 in damage.

UPDATE: They wrote in the response that they want to make it right. I reached out via telephone and facebook message in response. And no one contacted me. STAY AWAY!! A terrible experience. I would never recommend this company. We hired them for our move. We asked for the first available appointment, and were assured that 8am would be fine. We got a call that morning that they had accepted an earlier job (???) so they wouldn't be there until 9 or 915.

I've used college hunks a couple of years ago and was very impressed with the speed of moving and price. I attempted to use them recently for a small move. They booked quickly and said they would show up between 2-4 pm. About 130pm I received a call saying they had to go to Lincoln to pick up a truck and then they would be back in omaha to complete the move. They even offered to add a crew member so the move would go faster. I was fine with that.

We had used College Hunks when we moved last year and they did such a great job that it was a no-brainer when we had to find movers for our recent move. Unfortunately, this time did not go well at all. Before I dive in, I do want to take some blame because we did have more items than we had told the company due to weather impacting our ability to move the other items before College Hunks' allotted time.

I will never use this company to move again. When I called to get a quote for my move, I was quoted around 500 dollars. I later recieved an email that my actual estimate was around 950 dollars. Pretty big difference. On the day of my move, the movers did not use protective coverings for my furniture or the floors of my apartment like I was assured they were going to do.

Colton, Joseph, Damien, and Travis from College Hunks Hauling Junk Omaha arrived on time, were extremely efficient, and demonstrated care in their work. They were careful carrying items out of our house so as to avoid nicking or marring any walls or doorways. They were all very friendly, personable, and communicated well with us to ensure the proper items were being loaded for hauling. The free estimate, pickup scheduling, and communications prior to our scheduled pickup were seamless.

I did pretty extensive research in moving companies. These reviews drew me in. We scheduled the in-person walk through and were given an estimate. A local company quoted 2k, over the phone then 2.5k when we booked then 3-4k when they walked through citing that the “bigger companies” like to under quote and reneg once the move happens. Not the case with my experience.

THIS WAS A LABOR/MOVE JOB: KAHLIL, JEREMY, AND DAMIAN WERE FANTASTIC! WE UTILIZED THESE GUYS FOR MOVING HEAVY FURNITURE AND BULKY ITEMS TO OUR NEW APARTMENT TODAY. THIS CREW IS TOP NOTCH!
