I am submitting a formal complaint regarding services provided by College Hunks Moving in Sarasota. Prior to the move, I provided the salesperson with a detailed list of all items to be moved. Based on this information, I was quoted $1,700, with an estimated duration of approximately six hours. On the day of the move, the crew arrived on time and was courteous; however, the move ultimately took more than double the estimated time (9am-9:30pm), causing the total cost to increase from $1,700 to $3,600.

Beware of this company! My mother-in-law died On Friday and we needed to have her furniture moved out of her one bedroom assisted living apartment on a Monday. I made phone calls and they were able to come out on Monday. Spoke to a young man and he gave me a full truck price of 599. I told him exactly what was in her apartment which wasn’t much we packed up all of her clothes, everything small dishes, everything, and got rid of it over the weekend. All that was left was furniture.

Just finished with a home to home move. Typical bait and switch operation. Give you a low ball quote only to add an additional $1500 at the end of the move. I literally had them come to my house for the estimate to ensure it was and accurate estimate with no surprises. I even told the gentleman to ensure to give me a quote on the higher end…frauds. They give you a low price expect that low price to turn into a very high price.

I moved at the end of May 2026 from a 1st floor unit to a 4th floor unit!!! This was a difficult move to say the least. Even with an elevator there were many many trips down a long narrow hallway up the elevator and into our unit at the end. But Andrea and Jeremy were amazing!!! Besides being so strong they had a great strategy and determination to get our move done within the quoted time frame. And they never groaned or complained or gave up!!! And all of my belongings were in perfect condition!!!
