We had only about 5 items to move from one end of town to the other (less than 1 mile). My wife and I had done all the rest ourselves. The move was supposed to be completed in less than 2 hours given the few items and distance. They would not start until they make you sign an electronic document accepting additional insurance at a sudden additional cost that had not been mentioned before.

I called to get an estimate. I was routed to a call center that knew nothing about the local branch here in Savannah or what they offered. Two weeks later I get a text from Melody (who I assume is local). She wants to come out and quote me between 12-2 on a Wednesday. When I said the was not a good time for me because I work during the day. She told me they don't do quotes after 2! How very special, that they would not want to work with someone.

Called for a consultation in the afternoon and asked for a quote to compare but was pressured into reserving immediately, with reassurance that I could cancel for the next 24-28 hours with no charge. i cancelled the reservation at 7:49am the next morning and received confirmation. when looking through my transactions for the past few months, i noticed a $99 charge from College Hunks that I was never notified of (I also confirmed that there was no notification during cancellation or in the confirmation email).

The worst, most inept, disorganized..used trainees to pack and move a 5,200 s.f. house..scratched floors, wanted more money to move items that should have gone in the initial move. I had to show some of them how to pack. Idiotic use of tape.

I am updating this review based on College Hunks working with me to refund certain items and better understand the length of time for services. Sorry, cannot recomnend this overpriced company. Actual price was double than original estimate. Should not have taken 8 hours for a 1 bedroom apartment move 18 miles away. When quoted price I did not request any items to be shrink wrapped and they wrapped everything. Which increased time and supply cost.

Trace and Lucas were fantastic. Courteous and attentive to detail regarding fragile items and where I wanted objects moved. The truck was a little late dur to mechanical issues but they were extremely communicative with updates about their time. Love these guys! and they love Jesus too!!! Plus they do stairs!!!

Edit: The owner Zack reached out to me and even came by personally to make the situation right. He went above and beyond and you don’t see that kind of customer service anymore. I’m changing the review to five stars, even though we did not use them this time. We will definitely use them next time 🤙 I would caution anyone considering this company. I called for a straightforward labor job — moving furniture from my garage up to the second and third floors.
