College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving

I used this service to move to a storage unit. They even came and looked before. Then didnt send enough people so a 1 day job turned into two with multiple trucks for packing and moving. Understandable to a degree. Then I used the same to move from that storage to a house figuring it'd be better since they did the first. Far worse. Quoted much higher cost for shorter move and no packing, several items broke including a 75" smart TV. Promised a callback on that I never recieved.

Do NOT trust your quote. Jenna will absolutely mangle the numbers in that quote. In my case she quoted me for 5 guys at one price, then sent 7 out and after the job was done billed me for 6 guys. When I was billed far higher and spoke with her about it, she was unprofessional and threatened me with “a felony if I don’t pay it all before the movers leave”. DO NOT TRUST THEIR QUOTES when making your decision for which moving service to use. As for the move itself, the guys that came out and did the work were great.

These guys showed up to move someone out of our house, and they helped bust the lock off of our laundry closet and proceeded to load up our washer and dryer. We presented the receipt where we purchased the washer and dryer from the person that they were moving, and instead of refusing to help break off a lock that should have been the first sign that they are not supposed to be in the area since they don't have a key.

I’m extremely disappointed in my recent experience with College Hunks. I used them for a move in the past and I was impressed with their efficiency and care for our items. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive the same experience this time. They sent two movers for my 1000 square foot apartment, which would’ve been fine, but one of the movers was in training so extra time was spent with one mover educating the other, and the trainee was just standing around multiple times watching the other mover work.

I called College Hunks to inquire about moving my family. I was told there was “plenty” of availability for the two dates I provided. They set me up with an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate. The time frame was between 4-6. So I made sure to leave work and be home. At nearly 6 I get a call and was told I had an over the phone estimate which I did not and I verified that on my confirmation email. So he agreed to come out to my house.

Edit Again: I'm changing my review back to a 1 star. My refund was canceled from this company and I'm now having to dispute the charges from my credit card company, even though I have a receipt that says I was over charged. Also, the owner was an absolute jerk. I'm going to upload the text conversation I had with him. He was EXTREMELY rude and I do NOT recommend using this company to move in OKC. Edit: After discussion with the owner, I was double charged on accident and refunded to the appropriate amount.

Changing my review to one star until something is done. The movers are only paid as well as you rate them so I didn’t want them to get docked pay but I’ve had it so now I’ll tell the truth: They broke my dining room table while handling it (which I didn’t care because it was thrifted and told them not to worry about it). When they assembled my headboard they put it together wrong so the black lining was on the outside and my family had to drive two hours to help me take it apart again and reassemble it.

Had a pretty bad experience using college hunks for moving. I asked for 4 movers, they sent 3 and two of them had never done a move before. I had to help them load the entire time and they still moved really slowly. I constantly saw them on their phones during the process. The move took far over the original estimate in time and thus price. The movers also inadequately wrapped some of my furniture and broke the pieces when they dropped it.
