Two Men and a Truck Moving

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly discourage anyone from using Two Men and a Truck. From the very beginning, the move was mishandled. The movers arrived more than two hours late, immediately putting the entire day behind schedule. They also failed to bring the basic tools needed to disassemble furniture, forcing us to unpack our own tools just to keep the move moving.

I have used this company numerous times. I've looked past little incidents like scratches, smoke breaks, etc. But yesterday, these guys shattered a $1200 computer. I wasn't going to say anything about it bc I didn't purchase the protection plan. I mean, why would I? I thought I was hiring professionals. Anyway, a lady called me this morning to see how the move went. I mentioned the broken computer and how they turned all of our cabinets completely upside down, which was utterly unnecessary.

We booked the first move and were QUOTED by Erica for 4 hours, informed that it would be a 2 hour minimum and would be the $130 hourly rate for each additional hour OVER the 4 QUOTED hours should it take longer. It did NOT take 4 hours. It took right around 2 (I have video proof from the time the guys arrived at my house and the time they left). In addition, I paid $100 to secure the appointment and was told it would be applied to the final total.

2 men in a truck moved my elderly aunt. She’s 81 years old. First of all the men that packed her stuff used a pot to make ramen noodles for his lunch. We later found the pot DIRTY shoved in a random box. They just threw everything in boxes things that shouldn’t be packed together like food and cleaning chemicals. Bathroom stuff with kitchen stuff. Just crazy packing. Half the boxes were almost empty. They broke so many items including an expensive washer.

I had a one bedroom apartment to move into a house. Luckily none of my stuff was broken but there was a decent amount of collateral damage. I have a heavy metal framed couch. The apartment had a staircase up into it with a banister. These movers could not figure out how to maneuver my couch over the banister and through the door. A light switch was busted, a hole put in the wall from the door knob, and there were huge scrapes on the door.

I had an unpleasant experience while inquiring about a local move. I requested a quote online, received the email about the quote and a voicemail from their representative. I called back to say thank you for the quote but I decided to use a different service because of the cost. The representative, Karen, explained that they price matched and asked what the other quote was.

I normally do not like to add reviews because I understand people in businesses make mistakes, but I could not let someone else go through what I went through with this move. I had a home to move and a shop. I went over this with the Moving specialist. I opted for two trucks and four men. I was supposed to be called at 8:30 that morning. I was called at around 9:45 AM.

They moved us just last week. They damaged an interior door the day before closing. We had to purchase a new interior door that night for our buyers. At one point during the load, I was told that I would have to sacrifice my riding lawnmower or my husband's work bench, built by his grandfather. I told the guy "That's not going to happen." They did get it all on the truck, but damaged my 55" flat screen TV, and lost the hardware for one of our two desks. Then they tried to charge us double the quote.
