The movers were nice but we had numerous issues. Initially 3 movers came to move our belongings. After 1 hour, 1 quit on the job after speaking to his manager. We were left with 2 movers for roughly 1 hour. When they were moving our refrigerator, they damaged our front screen door - broke the attachment for top door shock. All boxes were labeled so the movers would know where to put them in the new home. Multiple boxes were put wherever they wanted to put them.

This simple move (6 items, one level no stairs do deal with) estimate was about $550 (not emailed to me, just over the phone) but the actual bill was $752 – all for a 1 and ½ hours total time to move of 6 pieces of furniture. Did not hear from the estimator (foreign help all out of Tampa FL – NOT A LOCAL person that knows your area) about a hidden administrative fee of $35.40 (from the franchise owner “fuel surcharge, credit card fees, etc, It’s something we added months ago”).

I will not be using College Hunks again. Unfortunately they were over an hour late for their pickup time and the movers that showed up to haul my mattress and freezer where a small woman and a young guy. They were not able to carry the mattress by themselves and asked for my help. I had to drive to the house and help them unload and carry it up the stairs. They went over the estimated time because they weren't capable of doing the job themselves and I had to help. I was then charged for the extra time.

Had worked with this local group previously and had a great experience but the most recent group of movers they hired are definitely NOT good at their jobs. If you use them for moving personal items, you should inspect EVERY SINGLE piece of item as it moves on to the truck as they will NOT tell you if they damage any of the items. Make sure you read over all of the paperwork before signing anything as once it’s signed, you assume liability.

Never used a moving company in the past. This company had lost estimate after an in person estimator came to the house. We had multiple phone calls the day prior to figure out what the moving company needed to bring. We resent the estimate. They were late. The company then continued to come with too few boxes and packing supplies. The boss said it was the movers fault. The movers said it was the estimators and the bosses fault.
I would not recommend the Stephen’s City College Hunks. There were multiple things that happened in our move. No one wore booties and they didn’t bring floor protectors/rolls so both houses were left with stains and mud/dirt on carpets. …

Sorry it didn’t work out, we advised you we were unable to move it as you or the shipper said it couldn’t be moved anyway other than flat. It had to be turned some to get it off deck.
This company is a complete and total rip off. Called for estimate and subsequently hired them to help clean out deceased uncles storage unit (normal 1 car size unit) ... they brought a roll off on their truck and never rolled it off... …

This is a great company. My kudos to CHHJ and Jessica, Jeremy, Zak, and Roger for a job well done. After moving I needed hundreds of moving boxes and Amazon boxes gone from the house. It was too much for me to break them all down and take them to recycling, as it would have taken about 30 trips. I called to ask if they could remove them and they gave me an accurate estimate of how much it would cost and came out the next day in the time frame we agreed upon.

Absolutely epic service from start to finish! From the moment, they walked into my home to assess what I was moving and give me a (very fair) quote to the moment the guys arrived at my house, packed everything up beautifully unpacked everything and put it exactly where I asked. The guys were constantly touching base with me to make sure everything was going in the right place and they were all respectful and kind and super positive…moving is hard even for the professionals.
