On December 29, 2025 Shields Movers and Staffers, LLC arrived to move our furniture approximately 10 miles. The owner (do not know his name) let us know, that only one man out of three was experienced. Two of the men were completely discheveled in appearance and one was clearly sick. He wiped his nose and rubbed it on his clothes. These two dropped my tempurpedic mattress in the parking lot!! After placing a greasy moving blanket on my couch! two men were asked to leave.
We had to involve insurance in this process, of the damage to the home. This was not a overnight process, they also had to ge t in contact with us as well. As for the mover, we had issue with him.. However, we also bought 2 additional movers out there to assist, giving you a additional mover free.
SCAMMERS! Do not use this company. They damaged my furniture and offer NO compensation. They ignore your phone calls and texts and act like they are too busy to address your concerns. They lie and cheat you out of your money and time. They are unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate. They like to prey on single women and do not honor their words. They show up with unmarked filthy trucks and men who look like they are day laborers rather than professional movers.
we tried to resolve any issue with this client, and they were did not wait so that we could have resolved the issue
Fraudsters and Scam Artists. We ended up being victims when our original Moving company failed to provide services for our move from NJ to NC on account of “last minute truck break down”. Shields stepped in as 3rd party provider- showed up at 6pm on day of move. For over 6.5k sqft house 2 men and 1 boy- ALL clearly w minimal to no experience. They came in rented Penske trick and had ZERO equipment (no dollies or carts) i mean NOtHINg except packing tape and some boxes.

Scam artist!!!! I called for an inquiry over the phone. I got in touch with someone over the phone. I was expecting a quote over the phone, especially since someone answered immediately when I called. But instead when I told him that I wanted a quote he told me he was gonna text me from the number I called him from. Then he was gonna send me some questions that I had to answer. I waited a half an hour he never text me anything. Then I went online filled out an online app instead.
it was late in the evening when you contacted us, the person you spoke to in the phone does not give pricing, we were going to calculate your miles, info and send the pricing over in the morning..
This company is fraud. They advertise as professional and experienced but the guy over this company outsources "people" from who knows where. The people who he had help me move were not experienced. They didn't know how to load a uhaul. They were putting in boxes first before the big stuff and then was having to remove the boxes to fit the washer/dryer and furniture.

Sir, you waited till we refunded your money as we did, you had a last-minute move and we contacted you to let you know that the guy could not be out there until later on that evening. You asked for your money back and we refunded you.
Worst experience of my life. They promise everything and deliver nothing. They love to point to fine print in their contract until they violate it. Was quoted one price then the day the movers arrived, it immediately increased $2,500 …
