College Hunks Moving Tampa South

This was the worst move of my life and do not recommend college hunks. We hired them for our move and was quoted 851 and then charged 1591. The movers took their time the first hour and definitely was dragging out to incur more time nothing was moved in the first hour. Then they damaged a lot of our furniture our dresser was damaged and lots of knicks on multiple pieces.

Absolutely terrible experience. The three movers smelled like weed and were rude. They turned our nightstands upside down and everything fell out all over the floor. We showed them everything that needed to be moved and they left multiple items behind. At our new home (much larger than our condo) they argued with us about a bed being able to fit up the stairs. The bed EASILY fit upstairs. They threw our bicycles on the lawn and left several other items outside.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Do Not Use College Hunks! I cannot overstate how disappointed and frustrated I am with College Hunks. I hired them to help load my U-Haul for a long-distance move, and what I received was the absolute bare minimum of effort and the maximum amount of damage and negligence. Despite leaving over 50 high-quality moving blankets, rolls of moving tape, pads, and wrap—clearly laid out and ready to be used—the crew showed a complete lack of care or competence.

Paid to have them pad wrap all of my furniture and load my U-Haul. I was assured that if I provided the moving blankets that all of my furniture would be wrapped. Out of 2 dozen blankets 2 were used. Only my large dresser was partially wrapped (still Got damaged). Everything else was not. In addition, my boxes and other belongings were not packed correctly into the truck and as a result my furniture was damaged. My couch was not pad wrapped nor was my nightstand, tv stand etc.

Great moving experience but be prepared to be charged double what your quote is. I was quoted $450 and Iunderstand that it’s a quote and it is variable. The only changes I made once the movers came were purchasing a mattress bag ($15) and moving a TV ($60). I had prior paid a $99 deposit so my total should have come to $425 with the additions. When I went to pay I was told the total was $821 and that was WITH the $99 deposit already deducted.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving in Tampa. I booked my move and paid a deposit to reserve the appointment. The evening before the move, the company called and asked to change my scheduled arrival time from the morning to the afternoon. I was hesitant because I had a tight moving schedule, but I agreed after being assured they would arrive at 1:00 - 3:00 PM. On the day of the move, they called again around 11:40 AM and postponed the arrival to 3:00 PM.

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE REVIEW. The move started off good and then went bad very quickly. The movers names were ZANE, TREY, and JOSEPH. A piece of furniture was moved that was not supposed to be moved, underneath this dresser was $9,000 in two separate envelopes my husband had underneath the dresser. When we came upstairs to check on the move we saw the dresser was wrapped and on a dolly, my husband told the three movers to stop moving and asked where the envelops were.

Worse moving experience ever. They no longer care about offering careful quality moving services, all they care is about how much more money they can get. I have used CHHJ for various moves and they kept getting progressively worse. They came into my place of business like a Hurricane, tearing everything down and dumping items into boxes that ended up half full. They were repeatedly told to slow down and be careful, but my requests were ignored.
