They showed up late. Had to pay a lot more than the quote. Which I know it is just an estimate but the amount we paid was way more. Things were broken. Big hole put in the wall and a bid gouge in the stairway. They did not tell us about it either. We had to ask them what happen. So frustrating.
August 2022 - Whatever you do do not use this company for long distance move. I moved from Seymour, Indiana to Chicago, Illinois and still have not received all my myself. The communication is absolutely awful you talk to numerous people and then they turn around and tell you different things. They quoted me a price that was great but did not actually meet due to there lack of planning.

The movers were great. But the communication and scheduling part with the office people were terrible. I had to move from Michigan to Indiana (2 trips), and then I also had somethings to move from an Indiana hotel I temporarily live in. Two guys came to my Michigan home on the first day did their job, awesome people, very professional, no complaints at all. But the company was supposed to get all my stuff to the new apartment in Indiana the next day.

The first time I used College Movers, they were 5 stars all the way. This time was a completely different experience. I had 4 movers and a 26' truck. They arrived 15 minutes early, which was great. They were all nice guys - again, great. The move started smoothly, but I noticed they weren't packing the truck very tightly. I assumed they saw how much I had and knew what they were doing. By the time they got to the back of the truck, they didn't have enough room.

Price Transparency is not accurate. Was happy with the customer service and service aspect, was not happy when I was blind sighted and had to pay basically an extra 100 dollars for expenses I was not informed about. Obscuring the fees even after someone has booked with you weeks in advance, not using any of that time to inform them, and then waiting until you are there the day of to inform the customer who asks why something was added but is in a tight position and needs the service done then is predatory at best.

20 minutes late, backed into basket ball goal and tore out backboard, scraped paint off wall, damaged furniture, took 30 minutes just to get a mattress into their truck. Took way too long, slow! Was charged over $600 to move a bed, chest of drawers and a dresser from Columbus to Greensburg a 40 minute drive.

Our 2 movers were great!!! They communicated well each step of the way, handled all of my questions well, and were nice and friendly. They also asked which items would need to be accessed first (we just had everything placed in a back room until the main room construction was done) and organized it according to how we would be needing to get to it to set up shop. It was extremely thoughtful and not something I would have thought of.

Two clean cut, strong gentlemen showed up on time to move an upright piano. Both were very professional and pleasant. They went right to work assessing and planning the move before jumping into the task. They operated safely and with care. In all the move took less than an hour and I could not have been more pleased with their work. I would highly recommend College Movers and will use them again. Thank you!!
The two young men who came to move an extremely heavy old piano had a major task before them. No additional help was available, but the two worked hard at dismantling the piano as much as possible so that it could be removed. They arrived on time, cleaned up well, and were very pleasant the entire time. I'm very pleased with their efforts.
