I used Collegiate Movers to move my things from my home to a storage unit. The 4 men crew arrived and I could hear them talking outside. It was unprofessional topic and words. They did work hard in brutally cold weather and maybe that’s why I had the other issues—trying to get done fast to get out of the cold. At one point I was standing beside their truck and they didn’t know I was there. I heard something break and then heard them discussing a broken TV foot saying it was too cold for it.

Not only did they show up 3 hours late without so much as a phone call, the first words out of the lead guy's mouth were "do you really need to move today or can it wait until Monday?" Then I get to my storage unit this morning (two months later because the apartment I am moving into took longer than expected to be ready) to meet my parents and see that they stacked heavy boxes on top of ones that say fragile. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional group of kids in my life.

If you can afford to pay a little more, I’d strongly encourage you to consider another moving company especially if your move is long distance. While Collegiate has great rates, for us, their poor communication and unreliability created so much stress and hardship that we won’t use them again. We booked them months in advance for a cross country move to bring us back to Virginia. They were supposed to arrive on a Tuesday morning.
I found Collegiate movers through Angislist. He was the 1st to respond To my quote He was willing to work with me as I didn't have a definite date and told me to let him know when I did have a better time frame. I emailed him and he didn't response for 3 days but I figured he was busy and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I trusted that he would move me by the date I told him. Well he has put me in a real bind now because he didn't respond to me for 3 days.

I have used this company more than 6 times in the past 10 years between myself and children, this last time will be the last. I had items broken. My quote was not what I was charged. The vehicle ran out of fuel. The owner spilled diesel in my vehicle and all over my driveway. My list goes on. I hate it for the 2 employees because they were doing the best they could with what they had. My items were not wrapped, strapped down and my boxes were thrown around without care.

Called for a quote for an upcoming move. Set aside a time for someone to come give us a quote. First time they cancelled 2 hours before. Rescheduled for another day and the person just didn’t show at all. Went with a different moving company. Wouldn’t recommend when they can’t even hold to their appointments.

I recently hired Collegiate Movers to move us to our new home. All employees were very respectful to us personally along with being very diligent and careful with our property. It was a very smooth process and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommended these guys for all your moving needs!
Collegiate Movers did a great job with our move. Great customer service and very responsive. We had to change our move date several times and they were very accommodating. We also had to make a few changes on the fly to the pack and move plan after they had already arrived, and they helped us with an additional drop off location for our stuff.
