Copper Safe Storage - Lafayette

This is my 2nd break-in. There was a camera right by my room. I lost over $4,000 of stuff stored in the room. This time the room had their lock, I had the combination, and you needed a code to get in the property, and it was still broken into. Since I had this room this property went through about 3 or 4 owners. Think twice before you rent from them. I wish I had. I plan to take them to court. 1 break-in is, okay, this happens, 2nd there is something going on.

Got a very rude phone call from an employee this morning asking if I had called about a storage unit yesterday and I said yes, but I found one. Employee answered with 'why did you say you were going to come look at one when you didn't plan on it?' And hung up before I could explain that I never made any reservation or even said that I was interested after hearing the prices. Might be petty to rate 1 star over it, but that was just rude.

I dont give this place 1 star my lock was cut and my belongings were stolen. I was a hurricane victim and everything I had left was taken from me at this facility!! Then they sent me keys that was not for the lock they put on my unit. Then the insurance policy is very low if you have valuable items.

Let me say at the first couple of months I was very happy. Very helpful & quick when i realized i needed a larger unit right in the middle of moving my things in. I was able to acquire & get access to the larger unit within an hour. Would've left 5 stars if thats where it ended. I just attempted to access my unit @ 11pm & can not get inside the gate. There is now a sign on the gate saying that there is limited access times from 6am - 9pm. 24 hour access was a MUST for me.

Well I rented a 10x10 last month. I was robbed with in 3weeks. I lost a very large part of what I owned. The police say that they get robbed every month. Its been a couple weeks since this happened. The manager keeps putting off looking at the footage im sure buy now it has auto deleted and ill just be out luck finding my stuff. Don't do it! Go somewhere else. Appletree storage is no good. There is a lot more to this story than I can tell today. Run!

The storage units in the center are older and in a state of disrepair. We had a bad problem with rodents and all of our furniture and things stored in the unit were covered in rat tracks, feces, and urine. Some items were also destroyed from the rats (knawmarks and holes in blankets and paintings). Furthermore, the lightbulb was broken when we moved into the unit and glass covered the floor.

I won't recommend this one.They disconnected the electricity so you have to be extremely careful of spiders.No dumpster so hopefully you don't have anything to dispose of are you have to find your own place to dump it.Then I was lied to about another issue I discussed with the owner himself.No way will I tell anyone to go there.Oh and yes people still hang out at their unit.

I would give it a zero but google wouldn’t let me. I purchase it online. Paid $25 for 24 hours access. $25.admin fee when I did all the work. Anyway when I arrived at the location at 9pm the first thing I noticed was the walk in. Gate was ripped off the gate. Then when I put my code in it didn’t work.. now I have a U-Haul dunk of my stuff and can’t do anything with it.
