Cross Town Movers

We would not use them again or recommend them. Had several items scratched, a box is still missing and on the last day of our move, one of the guys took a special mouse pad off my husband's file cabinet that I had ordered for his birthday, and never returned it. Who does that? The only thing we can say is that they are fast. Are they bonded and insured? Nothing says so on their website. The move from Caldwell was under my husband's last name, so you have our telephone number. Yes, you did move us!

WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. First started off with an early call asking if I’d like a 3rd person at an extra charge and was told that job would get done much faster, so I reluctantly agreed. However, I feel I was grossly taken advantage of. Job took them from 9:45am-5pm (with a 2 hour lunch break for which they only gave me a $20/guy discount) to move my 2500 square foot house (that two of the rooms had built in furniture that did not require moving). My bill as $2700!!!!

First I will say, the moving crew was polite and respectful but that is where the positive experience ended. We hired a professional moving company because of a bad shoulder and some very heavy/awkward items to be moved to our new home. We called Cross Town for a bid, explained the job in great depth and because of that explanation a third mover was recommended (to handle the heavy items). The outcome, one truck, full of the lightest bulkiest items and a $750 price tag.

Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with this company. We hired them to move items from a 26' Uhaul truck into a climate-controlled storage unit. The two young men we were assigned meant well and were very friendly, but were wholly unprepared for the task at hand. Despite the fact that the storage unit was larger than the truck, after 2.5 hours the items did not fit and were haphazardly put inside. Items were brought in from the truck without a plan. Towers of boxes were falling over.

Cross Town movers is only adequate for moves across the street ... Updated review: so at the time of packing we had a very positive experience, but when we arrived in New Hampshire we found a significant amount of damage which is very sad. The guys who packed our truck knew that we were moving across the country and they didn't use all of the packing blankets we rented ...

We were exciting to be able to schedule our move with this company. Unfortunately the overall experience fell quite short.The movers were very polite and hard working though. Firstly, they didn't wrap anything including mattress. Our matress was light color. After moving we had found our mattress had torn fabric and black stain that couldn't be removed. Another frustration was those black palm/finger print left on some lighter color furnitures like cabinets.

I’m local, lived in the valley my entire life, I’ve used many movers over the years. Everything from out on my own, finished school at BSU. I even try to live out of state, and moved straight back. The point being, I’ve seen it all. I had a GREAT moving company I always used, A+ MOVING but they are unavailable. I’ve only come across a few scuffs etc. nothing to get upset about. But this last move with Cross Town Movers, is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in general and customer service.

Had the worst experience helping my sister move yesterday while she was at work. It was one thing after the other. First they showed up with out tools, it took them an hour just to move two dressers and 4 nightstands and half a couch. Mean while they had to wait for someone from the office to bring them tools. They were half hour late. Called at 12:30 per my sister that they were on their way, didn’t get there till 2pm.
