Delicate Touch Moving

I had them pack my container for a move across state. Once I unpacked and saw that one of my TVs was cracked and one of my chairs torn I called delicate touch. Tom took my call and could not have been ruder. The first thing he did was blame it on the other guy. The most unprofessional person ever. I’ve worked with dudes hanging out at Home Depot who were more professional than him. Worse experience ever. Beware.

I used this moving company to move my possession's from one side of the Treasure Valley to the other side. I was so busy with the move I allowed them to move my possession's without watching them. Unfortunately, some of my valued items never got delivered to my new home. Some beautiful art work that was acquired while on vacation never arrived. The art work held a lot of memories as well as the value of the art work. I would think twice before using this moving company.

We are in our sixties and needed a mover to pack and move us to a storage unit. We were assured by Jim they could do that for us after he came to look at the job and we set a date for them to move us. They showed up a day early. We tried to work something out but they decided to just leave and "take the bad review" and not return. Needless to say we tried to hire another company but most were fully booked or were only movers and didn't pack.

I was excited to use movers for the first time. Was not a pleasant experience. I wouldn’t use this company again. I said the job I needed done to the best of my ability asked what was needed to start what information was needed from me and did not give the proper information apparently but If the workers were uncomfortable moving open boxes and loose items they should have said that before starting the job. Owner and workers repeatedly said I was threatening to send someone on them.

No, I cannot recommend this company for moving. I have some very nice wood furniture items and I was very disappointed to find out how scratched and dented many were after Delicate Touch moved my household items to an out of state storage unit. I only discovered this when a different company then moved the items from the storage unit to my final location. Each damaged item that the new movers discovered was pointed out to me before the items were removed from the storage unit. See photos below.

Unfortunately, "delicate" was no part of the player piano move. The team was not prepared for the heavy piano, despite specifically discussing it upon scheduling. No protection for the piano, resulting in multiple chips and scratches! No ramp used into or out of the houses. One mover was hanging on the piano with feet in the air at one point exiting the first house. No floor protection, therefore, damaging the door threshold and leaving wheel marks on my floor. Not at all a delicate touch and very disappointing.

Very odd situation.. But the crew walked off the scheduled job 2 minutes into starting without saying a word to me. Had to schedule another company which was fantastic, but they couldnt arrive until late afternoon which put us into the late hours which could have been avoided. I believe it was a dispute between who sub contracted Delicate Touch & another company, but as the customer, it would have been nice to understand more before just leaving.

These photos wont all upload. Jimmy didn't follow instructions. Matheus did most. The work is appreciated and things happen so I'm sharing those things. The important two; Don't put a dolly on top of a wooden table(redwood) worth more than the service provided. It scratches it badly. Leg broken off jewelry stand. Plus more. Yes. You did help us, no it wasn't worth it. If they at least told us about their mistakes. Not honest so 1 star.
