Déménagement Gatineau Plus

I used this company on June 30th, there were furniture damage and property damage, in my house they damaged the wall corners of going down in the basement, in my new appartment they damaged the wall going to the bedrooms and the coushon floor in the washroom, my dresses were damaged and my sofa was ripped. I advised the one in charge of the move which called the owner and he said he would come fix the things, I never got a.call back, I tried to call several times but he doesn't answer his phone.

DO NOT GO WITH THEM. TRIPLE BAD EXPERIENCE. Had made a reservation for a move a month in advance, was told it's all good, then I call back around the 26th to confirm everything and they hadn't booked any reservation, they were extremely rude, never told me I needed ANOTHER deposit to book a second move (I had just used their services to move late June). I also paid a storage July & August & September. The receptionist never mentioned any required deposit to complete the reservation.

Friendly service, though charged us over double our quote upon completion. We requested a quote for moving 1 washer and 1 drier. On the phone, we were quoted $115 + $25 + $86.25, for a total of $226.25, and agreed to this price. No electronic quote was shared. No conditions were mentioned. Upon completion of the job, we were told they needed to charge $524.46, as 3-hours was the minimum they could charge for a job. We were never notified of this condition before this point.

It cost me $880 for a small, easy move: a couple, no kids, no appliances, just two beds and standard furniture. The last time I moved, it took 3 hours. Gatineau Plus Moving quoted me $450 for 3 hours. The movers took 8 hours to complete the move. (They also tried to charge me for their 45-minute break). When I saw the bill was double the estimate, I called the landlord to express my surprise. He wasn't interested at all.

Avoid this company if you want to avoid stress; total lack of professionalism and consideration for others in addition to not being faithful to their commitment. After confirming the details of the move, including the date, prices and addresses for loading and unloading goods, we believed that everything was planned for the day of the move. Everything was therefore prepared accordingly, so nothing was left for us to spend extra time in the house.

I'm still reeling from my experience with Moving Gatineau on June 21, 2022. The movers were supposed to be at my house between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Starting at 10:20 a.m., I began calling the company since they still hadn't arrived. Twice, the receptionist told me, "The guys are on their way." The third time, I spoke with the owner, Mr. Tony Mercredi, who told me it was his mistake, that he was sending his best team, and that they would be at my house in a few minutes.

Poor company organization, but the employee service is number 1. Replying to the message, I don't recommend this company to anyone. They're a complete mess. They demolished the BBQ, they didn't bring my freezer, they tore my sofa, and the after-sales service is truly, truly ruthless. So much so that the boss yelled at me on the phone and said, "You're a real dirty Eric," loud enough that I had to make him repeat himself just to be sure I understood what he said.

DO NO USE THIS COMPANY EVER! Not only did it take 2 days for them to deliver my belongings from a 10x10 size storage unit less then 30min away, with 2 guys showing up between 8-10pm each nite (noting no one ever called to notify me of anything, I had to make several phone calls over the two days to find out that either the driver walked off the job, orthey took too small of a truck, or they needed another day, no one ever said a word to me, while I waited around for them!!)
