Elite Movers

First off I want to say the two young men who moved me were very polite, however the move was very slow. They were younger and perhaps inexperienced, and the move was VERY SLOW. Upon reading further reviews I can see I am not the only one who experienced a slow move with them and having to pay for it. Several mistakes were made during booking that I should have seen the red flags.

We had a very negative experience. We were grateful to be able to hire Elite Movers last-minute, but quickly realized that our movers weren't trained well. They didn't use dollies or team-lift for heavy objects. We were also helping to move boxes inside, and watched as the movers damaged and broke furniture, such as bumping our kitchen table repeatedly against the doorframe when entering our apartment, and trying to lift a heavy entertainment center from one end and putting all of the weight on one side, causing a…

Worst experience with a business I've ever had. Hands down. It's a scam. First of all, Kaleh lied about the deposit amount; she said it was $200 and then charged me $600, then told me to refer to my "contract" when I asked why there was a discrepancy between what she told me it would be, and what she charged. I let it go for the time, assuming the move would take 2 hours anyway. Little did I know that was only the first of many issues that were to come with this company.

BEWARE of this company. Booked and paid for a job. Morning of the move, no show, not answering calls, zero communication. Moving is stressful enough, having the movers steal your money and leave you hanging at a critical time, is despicable.

1st Experience: 5 stars. Flexible and reasonably priced. Helped my mom move into her new apartment quickly after another moving company failed to finish the job. Update: Can't be sure I actually got a discount, but the job was done so well I don't care. 2nd Experience: Moving to Lincoln for law school. They gave me 3 young movers which isn't a problem in itself. Great people. However, there were times they were talking sometimes to figure stuff out (due to some inexperience probably) sometimes just random.

Mover gave me a quote to deliver some tools and a welder. Once payment was received, mover attempted to charge an additional fee to deliver the welder. During our earlier conversation I made sure it was for the tools and the welder. I refused to pay the additional fee and requested the tools be delivered. The mover then says they can’t deliver just the tools, they would need me to pay the additional amount. I asked for a refund, they lowered the delivery fee for the welder and again I refused.

The only pleasant experience of the whole ordeal was the two young men that actually moved my items. I incurred charges I was not expecting over and above what I was quoted on the phone ( I was told it was my mistake as I did not read through the entire invoice that listed other charges). The exact same move for the exact same items ended up costing me nearly 3 1/2 times more than it did 17mo ago. I was told movers at 2-3PM however they didn't arrive until 7PM as previous move ran over.

I was discussing a potential move with them. They informed me they are licensed and insured, but after doing my research, I found they are NOT licensed for moving with US DOT or in Nebraska, as multiple other moving companies explained they have to be and recommended I research my potential choice. I was shocked the company sold me on the fact they were operating professional, and right before I was about to schedule, I discovered the exact opposite. BE CAREFUL - COMPANY IS NOT OPERATING PROFESSIONALLY AND LEGALLY.
