I rented a unit for thirteen days and had about $2,000 dollars in guitar equipment stolen. I called a couple of days in advance to let them know I would be removing my stuff. When I got there, someone had cut my lock (it was gone) and stole a lot of my stuff. The lady that works there said she checked all the units the day prior and everything was fine. She figured it must have happened between six in the evening the night before to just before I got there.
We are sorry to hear about your negative experience. We would like to invite you to give us another try. We are under new management and new owners. Looking forward to an opportunity to serve you with your storage needs.
Arrived at this facility to try and utilize their business. The woman who stated she worked there told me she did not appreciate me blocking the building and slammed the door on her way in. Did not and will not utilize their service. Would rate zero stars.

Edit 1 year later: I rented a storage unit again for a few months during a local move recently and had the same excellent experience! :) Definitely my go-to for storage needs! Thank you again! Great experience with Fairhaven Self Storage! I reserved my unit online at a great price and was in the next day to move my items in! The staff have been very accommodating, friendly and informative, and are very responsive to all mediums including phone calls and emails. They have also made the move-out process very easy.

Fairhaven Self Storage is easily the best storage experience I've ever had. It's tucked into the Happy Valley neighborhood right above historic Fairhaven in Bellingham — super quaint, green, tree-lined area, and it's close enough to I-5 to be convenient (right off the first Bellingham exit) without actually being on the freeway, so you don't deal with any of that noise or hassle. The units themselves are really easy to access, no weird layout or awkward turns to deal with.

The property has somewhat of an unusual layout, but other than that, it was clean, secure, reasonable hours, easy to use, and acceptable pricing. If you need a lock, purchase from them--it's a better deal than some of the big box stores, plus there were 3 keys with the one we got. They were pleasant to work with, everything was clearly outlined in the paperwork, and they were accommodating when possible.

Staff is kind and helpful. Storage space is clean and safe. Extra amenities include PO Boxes and packing supplies for sale. Just a really convenient , friendly neighborhood resource in Fairhaven. Thank you all for taking good care of me with my storage needs!!!
