Family Movers Express

I used Family movers once for myself & for my Brother. They did a great job so I called them again to move my stuff from one storage unit to another storage unit. Was told they would call me at least 15 mins before they got there which was 9:00 am. I called them to find out where they were at 9:33 am. Was told they were there at 9:00 but the 2 moving guys didn’t have my correct phone number. Why didn’t they call the office for my number???

YOU WANT TO READ THIS BEFORE HIRING FAMILY MOVERS! I hired Family Movers to move a 2 bedroom apt to a one bedroom in the same complex both on first floor and had already boxed all items and moved much myself. No truck needed just walk on cart around the corner. I explained to Family on phone call that it is an easy move and mostly needed them to move bed, dresser a new couch that I bought and loaded myself into apartment they were moving me out of and a few other large items I did not want to or would needed…

SCAM ARTISTS, BUYER BEWARE! Well... I was really hoping I'd have a Good experience with this company. When I first spoke to Aaron, who is one of the owners, it seemed like they had everything on point. Unfortunately, when the movers arrive they only had a two man crew instead of a three man crew that I specifically requested. I had called and confirmed this with the company on three separate occasions over two weeks to make sure that I have a three man crew.

The owner is NOT a stand up guy! Not sure if he is lying or his movers lied to him. Either way he doesnt take care of the damage. He will also hang up on you after he tells you he wont take care of any of it. I will write everything about my and my moms experience after we give him and his empoyees one more chance to own up to it. In response to your response, You spoke with my mom a 70 plus yr old. Thats who you hung up on. The way it fell off the dolly, it did damage the key mechanizism.

The two guys that moved my few items were nice. My problem with them is they don't think smarter to keep from working harder. So therefore, I'm dissatisfied with their work. I needed to have a portable wardrobe closet moved to the guest room. It is apprx 47 W x 20Dx 71H. Movers bought it through my front door and down the hallway. In order to get it into my guest room they would have had to make a slight turn into it. They were unable to do this for a few reasons.

I waited a month before writing this review (we unpacked slowly and wanted to make sure that we found our items since boxes were not put where they were directed to go). There isn't a nice way of saying this, but these guys were a bunch of thieves. Boxes of items are missing family photos, winter coats. They just stole the boxes unaware of what was inside. Boxes were also clearly marked...but boxes (once that were stolen) were put in the wrong rooms. I still paid and tipped them.

If I could leave a 0 I would! I feel bamboozled & absolutely disgusted. They guys came off nice and professional moved all my stuff it did take them a lot longer than expected but nothing worse than a thief. One of them or possibly all of them stole my prescription meds & also as noticed that a box of my great grandmother’s crystal was empty and the box was thrown in to the boxes I had emptied to disguise it. This was absolutely unacceptable I am sickened by this and feel absolutely violated.

Very disappointed in the speed and quality of helping me move. Do yourself a favor and only hire these movers per job not per hour, which was my huge mistake! They were totally milking the time to get paid more. So, learn from me and make sure you hire these people per job which I think will make them move a lot faster. It was such a bad experience that I did not have them finish the job because they would’ve milked at least another eight hours.
