I paid Colonial Van Lines to move my furniture from AZ to NC. I went with Colonial because i understood them to be a nationwide respected moving company. Unbeknownst to me, they then subcontracted the work out to Father&Son moving. The entire experience was horrible. The length of time it took them to pack and move a small 2-bedroom apartment exceeded 8 hours. We had a disagreement concerning the original weight estimate versus the actual.

I used Father & Son Moving in October 2024 for a move from a storage unit to an apartment. (This is a delayed posting.) The scheduling component was easy - I am thankful for that. However, for the price, I was severely let down by the work. Two middle aged guys showed up w/ a semi-truck (72') fit for a cross country move. It was unnecessarily large for an in-town 1 bedroom apartment move and they drove it VERY slowly on the city streets, maximizing (double) drive time.

A friend used this company to move in Glendale and recommended them, so we reached out a couple weeks ago for an estimate. We were told it was 150 an hour for three people and a truck, with a minimum of three hours. No worries. Called back two weeks later, which was today, to confirm the rates and such. For some reason the person on the phone felt it was appropriate to blow up at my wife about the minimum being 5 hours, and proceeded to berate her for the mistake.

I was referred to this company by a very Dear Friend who raved about their service. I called on 06/26 to see what availability was for the 30th of June spoke to a person by the name of Javier. Javier explained that they were booked and had no openings that I would not find service for a moving company calling so late to the end of the month. They had been booked for the past 2 weeks. So I got a lecture out of the deal. I didn't appreciate being chastised when calling for a service.

These guys moved me in January. Damaged my desk, broke my dining room table, scratched up my exercise equipment, damaged my dresser, broke my dining room chairs, and more. Don't do it... I have photos of everything.

I had to book movers last minute for my daughter and Father & Son Moving & Storage came through for us in the best way. They were incredibly flexible and worked with her schedule to make everything happen smoothly. Felix and Rashad handled the move and they were kind, efficient, and wonderful from start to finish. They took great care of her belongings, communicated clearly, and made a stressful situation so much easier.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Super friendly staff and the movers were just as friendly. The cost was actually lower then what was quoted to me. Showed up on time and went to work moving my elderly father. Thank you for making the day stress free. We will use again and refer to friends and family.

Best moving company we have ever used! And prices were better than anyone else I called. Mike and Sarah, who I spoke with to schedule and coordinate, were so lovely, helpful, and calming. The 4 movers on the day (Fernando, Juan, Jimmy, and I feel terrible, but I forgot the last guy's name) were just so good all around, moved our large furniture effortlessly, and packed and secured all our fragile items incredibly well. They moved a big house full of too much stuff in record time and I can’t thank them enough.
