We could not have had a worse experience with Jeff Reda and his moving team. In our cross country move they lost numerous items including an irreplaceable painting, seriously damaged multiple items, and delivered furniture in an incredibly wrinkled condition. In addition, his movers arrived late, did not respect the moving window my building had given them, worked incredibly slowly, and were going to leave before unpacking everything.
I had an extremely upsetting experience with this moving company. During my move, several valuable and deeply sentimental pieces of jewelry — including my wedding band, engagement ring, and a Cartier ring — went missing. These items were stored in a small bag hanging on the back of my bathroom door, an area that the movers were explicitly told not to touch. I was present in the apartment for the entire duration of the move, and at no point did I authorize anyone to access that bag.

The relationship started off healthy. We had a large move to make emptying the contents of multiple homes and downsizing. It was also complicated as the contents had to be separated between two homes in two states. We started with small problems, things being mis-packed and mis-delivered. The cost of this process was well into the six figures. Findlay then tried to sell us a separate, expensive insurance policy to cover their liability of damage or loss.

After decades of relying on them for moves both domestic and international, I can say with absolute confidence that their white-glove service is second to none. This is a business built on personal relationships. For years, I've watched them move not just my household, but my extended family and my children during their college years.
Service and staff were exceptional. Responsive, communicated well and professional in all regards. The move manager, Caroline managed the whole process, kept us informed and flexibly adjusted to changes we made. The rest of team of estimators, drivers, movers, packers were well trained, took care of items and really easy to work with.
