First Choice Moving and Storage

Worst decision to hire this company for doing a local move. 2 Movers (Mike and other person) were on time and started moving stuff. They mishandled the bedding furniture items and broke kind bed headboard, base frame and Mattress. They also dropped the coffee table from the truck to the road, which cause the table unstable and scratchy all over it. They damaged close to $2000 worth of items. The worst part was, their company took these information with the photos, but blocked my phone number.

They lost my table and desk chair- no one has any idea where it went. They claim they never saw it when I remember seeing it in the movers truck. Do not trust them!!!

This place has poor customer service. My husband spoke with Chris the morning of our move and was told they’d arrive between 1-2. No one arrived so I called. I spoke with Rebecca who informed me Chris was trying to be accommodating by stopping what he was doing to invoice us as if it was the customer’s fault he was busy. He simply should have stated he would take our name and return our call. Now we have to move during rush hour traffic because of miscommunication in THEIR office.

The beginning of my experience with this company was wonderful - good communication, on-time, etc. However as the two men progressed through moving my one bedroom apartment, the experience quickly soured. They dropped many of my items, leaving me to find them scattered across the ground, and didn’t seem to be in any sort of hurry (I was being charged by the hour). They then completely neglected to load my kitchen items onto the truck, proceeding to close it without touching them.

Day started with the movers being late. To be fair, they called to let me know they were at the wrong address. So, they were late. Two-man crew with a smaller, pull-behind trailer. If you’re expecting a truck, don’t. They were fast. Worked quickly; very quickly. Unfortunately, that speed came at a price. Some of my furniture got beat up. My desk (I had just purchased it) was rendered unusable. I let it go.

⭐️ 1-Star Review – First Choice Moving Choice & Storage I originally found First Choice Moving Choice & Storage through Groupon, where the advertised pricing was approximately $118 for 2 hours with 2 movers and 1 truck, and $252 for 3 hours with 2 movers and 1 truck after the promotion. When I spoke with one of the managers, she convinced me not to use the Groupon deal, saying they could match or offer a better price directly.

My daughter hired this company to move us from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment and paid upfront for the first three hours. She was told the cost for each additional hour would be $120. I being a disabled veteran moved a lot of out boxes with the help of a friend the week leafing up to our move. This was absolutely the worst experience of my life moving. It took a total of eight hours for these to young men to move the things we had left and my daughter who is also disabled helped them.

I purchased a 3 hour package from Groupon. It cost an additional $170 after paying for the Groupon. The two movers, Kyle and Bruce, did not seem to care about my personal belongings. They also stopped to get drinks and use the bathroom on the way to the new location which put them over the 3 hours. They asked for tips which was very uncomfortable and put me in the spot.
