Package theft concern and unprofessional moving service I hired MovingMatch because they were available on short notice and offered a 15% discount on the estimated cost. I was told the move would take approximately 2–3 hours. Instead, it took over 6 hours, largely because only one person was effectively doing the moving. I had to step in myself when the reserved freight elevator time expired. As a result, I was significantly overcharged compared to the original estimate.

The guys arrived on time and worked hard but unfortunately never used the blankets they brought and only wrapped furniture in plastic wrap. As a result, we have a dent in a new sofa, and a missing piece and scratch from an expensive Sleep Number bed. They also went to a wrong address when delivering the furniture making them 30 minutes late, which we have had no refund for and no response from the company regarding the damage/missing item.

I hired this company to help me move my smaller home to a storage unit. I told Rodney originally three hours, but then realized it didn't take that long when I had moved in 4 yrs prior, and I was moving a lot less, so I called back and changed it to two hours. They were late to start with, the drivers wreaked of a "skunk" but what could I do, I needed to be out as I was closing on my home the next morning and had to be out.

Started off good but as the day went along the packing got much worse. They ruined my leather office chair with placing jack stands on top of it, tore it is a few spots. Jack stands also bent a pipe on my air compressor. Common sense would tell you to put jack stands on the floor, not on top of furniture. A bed was damaged also. They will only pay .60 cents per pound for damage, so only $26 for a $260 chair. It was not a accident, it was negligence on their part. Do not use them.

Please do not use this company! They will scam you out of money, I spoke to a sales rep who informed me I would only pay $304 for my move + $169 for an additional hour if needed. Guess how surprised I was when I was charged $762(for a drive 5 mins down the road) Turns out they charge $40 extra for shrink wrap(of 1 item they decided to do without informing me of the fee that they didn’t even move!) and “bulky items”!

Was initially quoted $450 for three hours to move 6 pieces of furniture within the same apartment complex by Rodney. I was very transparent that I was on the third floor moving into another unit on the third floor. We agreed upon the price and move. After the movers put my 6 pieces of furniture into the truck they locked it and told me payment was due before unloading. That’s fine with me and I agreed. They surprised me and added on $350 in addition fees for the stairs that they knew about from the beginning.

Didn't have a great experience with the moving. The movers were nice but slow as hell. Not their fault because they were overworked from a previous job and finished late last night and was told they were in the early morning to unload the previous job and then came late to our appointment. I was told I would have 3 movers, but only 2 show up. I miscalculated the hours to move would be 5, so Rodney agree to charge approx.

I am writing this review months after the fact! WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOKS! I hired this company for a move to a storage unit back on 8/1/2025. The owner tried to stiff me by overcharging me an extra $104.92 dollars on top of the original agreed upon price for the move. The movers threatened to hold my things hostage UNTIL I paid the extra $104.92. I paid the extra charge so they could release my belongings.
