I wouldn't even give them one star ...they quoted me and gave me an estimate of $300 and they only had to move half a bedroom that took 30 minutes for the time they started to finished. they sat around for an hour debating with me that I owed them another $900 for hidden costs they charged me $1,100 and if I wouldn't have paid that then they would have taken possession of my property and charge me $250 a day and then the storages that they have are rat infested storages.

Save your money., seriously. I really don’t know where to start this review. My wife and I were charged a ridiculous amount to move 7-8 minutes away, but we wanted a company that was properly insured, etc. and had credible reviews. The owner Josh was cordial and professional when he came to our home to give us a price quote, but once he left, things started to turn for the worse: Josh never verbally quoted us an "upcharge" for moving on the weekend, but this showed up in our charges.

Go with at your own risk!!! I learned an expensive lesson from this company. First don't listen to what they tell you. They ARE a broker (they told me they are not) and will low ball your estimate and leave things out on purpose. My quote was for $335 and my total was $2800. I told them about the stairs (which they say 7 stairs is a flight and the 8th one is another $150) the freezer, couch, and table and charged me $75 per item. Also not disclosed was the truck security surcharge of almost $600.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would… the absolute thievery of this company! Quoted me at $300, for me to sign with them because they were super nice and accommodating. then charged me $1000 for “bulky” items even though they were aware of the “bulky” items before pickup. Then also refused to use the packing material I had, so instead used there own and charged me an extra $400 for that… after they had my stuff on the truck, they wanted to charge me $2200 FOR A ONE BEDROOM…

I have to confess we have never had such an atrocious experience with any moving company as we had with Golden Movers. Run when you hear their name. When we hired them we were told that if we purchase their full coverage insurance with the $500 deductible and anything happens to our furniture they will repair it, and if it can’t be fixed to our satisfaction and to the original state of the furniture we will be given the replacement cost minus the deductible.

Started out good. Was able to accommodate a one day change in date of services. It was a simple move and they couldn’t get that right - simply offloading a 26’ Uhaul truck into a ground floor AC unit. Easy. Provided a $200 deposit. But then it got bad. I confirmed via email and text the day before scheduled services. Was told the movers would arrive between 8a-9a on Saturday and would call me when they left the yard (in Tampa). 9:30a came and went - no calls. I called 4 times, texted twice, emailed. Nothing.

I had three mini-chests storage bins full of hand painted gaming figures that should have gone on and come off the truck in one piece. Instead, while loading the truck, the movers flipped them upside down on the dolly for no apparent reason other than to damage the contents. The driver took it upon himself to disassemble them and they arrived in pieces, many of which we still can't find.
