I engaged this company to handle the relocation, storage, and subsequent return of several small items, including a washer-dryer combination unit and minor furnishings, as part of a condominium renovation. My decision to proceed was based solely on the assurances provided by the sales representative, and I neglected to have my attorney review the contract prior to signing—a misstep I now recognize as my own. The representative assured me over the phone that a total of $1,400.00 would cover all services in full.

I used this company because they were a small business. Never again will I use them. I started working with Tyler who put me down for the date that I wanted to move and then closed out my estimate because he forgot to send us paperwork. He then passed me onto another guy who finished our estimate because he went on vacation but it was all done under Tyler’s name. This guy gets our video walk through and paperwork and then tells me that the day we had set to move is booked.

Ok so let me just start by saying, I went with them because it was the cheapest place to move from AZ to NC. The customer service started out good until it came time for them to pick up. After they loaded everything they said we went over by 500 Cubic inches… They didn’t even have everything loaded that was on the inventory list! They jacked the price up over 6k from what we was originally quoted. Then the people who loaded it quoted us a 10 day delivery. Yeah right.
Hi Tylar, unfortunately this review is for the wrong “First Rate Movers”. We are a local mover in Delaware only performing moves in Delaware. It’s a bummer because we get calls from unsatisfied customers like yourself in reference to the other FRM all the time.
Nothing was explained. The experience was all about money, money, money and more money! The price increased and increased more and more. I ended up giving this company every penny I had in my wallet to get my items. I had to continuously call to get details and was given different information on almost every call. So I gave up on getting my items which were eventually delivered. This was my 1st experience using a moving company. If I ever move again and need a moving company I WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I would not reccomend this company to anyone. Pick up on last day possible, deliver almost the last day. Have had to use 2 different forms of payment. One for deposit, another on pickup and now they want cash or postal money order on delivery! Even tho both payments I have made already went thru fine. This company is a joke. Don't use them! Finally brought her stuff....90 boxes, shoebox size boxes. Charged me 4300 dollars for that! Ridiculous! Never again

One of the worst movers I ever encountered. They change the price on me they’re very deceptive they rent trucks a few things broken I will call a few other places before I booked the first rate movers please do your research. Lots of these reviews are fake so please do not go on reviews call clients that they have used, They will cherry pick all the good ones but get a list of the 10 references for every move her that you check out thank you
We have never moved a gentleman by the name of Jeff Conway. This is a fake profile from a competing moving company, using unethical business practices to try and acquire more clients. It simply doesn't work.
George, Jeremiah, Lamont and Daizon were the crew. I am modifying a previous positive review. They caused extensive and irreparable damage to our furniture, including some high-end pieces. I don't want to get into details at this time as we are beginning to negotiate compensation for the damage. I am rating it now 1 star pending positive resolution.

The service was sub-par…. The crew was very nice and they work hard. They switched the price on me and several items were scratch but they were on time and they work very hard I just would not recommend them. We recently used First-Rate Movers for our move from Bridgeville to Georgetown, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Andre, Jake, Jarron, Brandon, and Sean C were absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Our new home had been undergoing a lengthy remodel, and we weren't exactly sure when it would finally be move-in ready. Despite the uncertainty and relatively short notice, First-Rate was incredibly accommodating and made the scheduling process seamless.

The First-Rate Movers team moved us from Milton to Haymarket, Virginia. Tyler conducted the initial survey for the move and the estimate. He provided complete information on the move and insurance available. Andrea was our point person throughout the process and maintained proactive communication to add any changes to our move list or answer any questions. She also gave continual text updates on the arrival time of the truck from Delaware to Virginia on move day.

I hired First Rate Movers for a local move in Lewes DE. The experience from start to finish left me very happy for the following reasons. 1. Sam, the salesperson was very responsive and communicative. His experience with packing and moving was obvious in how he handled my questions and how his estimate was on the mark for time, packing materials needed etc. He was professional, courteous and friendly. 2. Andrea who coordinated the move was equally professional.
