USE THESE MOVERS IF YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR ITEMS! At first they seemed super professional and responsive. The day of our move, they didn’t listen to certain things we asked them to do. My husband told them we didn’t have rope to secure our items in the truck and that he would go buy some himself and the movers insisted they had rope in their truck and said they would secure our items in the moving truck. Well, they never secured anything and our truck was a mess when it came time to unload it.

If you want holes in your walls, broken furniture and a frustrating waste of time, then these are the amateur movers for you. As a retired military service member, I have moved over a dozen times and they are by far the worst and least professional. They send people who tell you they are injured and can't lift much, then trip and put a hole in your wall and refuse to pay for it or even communicate about payment. This company will do a full inspection then give you a lowball offer that they double.
I hired Five College Movers for a furniture move from Connecticut to New Hampshire on December 10, 2025, based on a quoted price of $7,020 that I confirmed with them in advance. While the movers did complete the physical move, my experience afterward was extremely concerning due to deceptive and unauthorized billing practices. The company ultimately charged my credit card more than double the quoted price and continued billing disputed amounts repeatedly, even after I opened disputes with my credit card company.

I meant to do this review a while ago but life happens. This company is not transparent and is boarder line predatory. I told them this when they wanted me to provide feedback and they said they would get back to me. They didn’t. That is, until I threatened a charge back if I didn't hear from them the next day. Then they called. Once. I was busy at the time and figured I’d reach back, but didn’t get to. They tack on ridiculous fees for them to reach whatever quota they want to get out of you.

Only contact if you like being harassed. I reached out once for a quote on movers, spoke to someone told them if I wanted to use them I WOULD CALL them. Apparently if you call for a quote it gives them permission to harass you, it’s been DAYS of calls, texts, emails, from early morning to late evening trying to contact me. Just this behavior alone makes me not want to use the company, never mind the most expensive pricing I got out of all 8 companies I called. Do not recommend.

The move went very well. We were happy with the move. We are giving one star because the dresser drawer was damaged. We understand that things happen but the issue was never resolved. We messaged them and filled out the damage report. As of now it’s been over six months and we have not received a response about the drawer. We messaged and emailed more than a few times.
Horrible customer service and professional integrity! Please stay clear of this company. Their invoice system is a scam! Ours was filled with MANY hidden charges that we NEVER pre-authorized. The final bill was much higher than they …

I had a great experience with the movers! Communication was clear, they showed up on time, worked efficiently, and were very polite. I would definitely reccomend this company for those looking for an easy move.
Everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. They were quick and thorough in giving me an estimate for the cost. The moving crew was fantastic - very careful with my things, professional, and friendly. They expertly moved a very heavy and challenging piece of furniture. Would absolutely recommend.
Five College Movers provided us with excellent door-to-door service for our out-of-state move. From the moment they arrived, the movers were friendly, polite, professional, and ready to work. They communicated clearly throughout the entire process and made what could have been a stressful move feel incredibly smooth. They helped pack and load our belongings from our home in one state, then unloaded everything and assembled our furniture in our new home in another state.
Jack & Chris are excellent movers. They helped mitigate messes left by rats & worked with me to determine where my belongings were meant to go in my new home. Thank you! I'd prefer not to share photos of my personal belongs in a public space, but be assured, they set up my things in the storage space in a way that left plenty of space to move around.
