Unbelievable hidden fees. I would never hire them again. Horrible people to deal with. They hold your furniture hostage in storage until you pay all their hidden fees. Not even worth the 1 star.

We hired them to move stuffs from our garage into the main house. Here were my experience with them: Pro: They are pleasant and arrived on time. Con: Some of the items will be reman in the garage for storage since we did not know which room to move to yet. They moved these items neatly on one part of the garage. This was good. But, a. When they moved items to one area of garage, they did not pay attention for the label on the boxes. It costed me a lot of time to find things to bring to the main house later.

My boyfriend and I moved in together recently and he used this company to move his things. His movers (this company) were asked to move my couch from the upstairs to the basement. My movers were able to easily move the couch into the house without an issue, no complaints about the door size. The first part of the small sectional fit no problem, but then these guys said there was “no way” to get the cuddler corner through a BULKHEAD in the basement because they only had an inch of space and it “might rip”.

Careless and do not take responsibility for their mistakes. Definitely not use GG storage. I did when living abroad for several years, and had to throw away numerous treasured mementos, valuable clothing and other items due to widespread black mould. Over priced, over rated, and terrible to deal with. Avoid.
They cannot accommodate for lots of time windows during the day. Our condo has certain rules to start move between 10 am and no later than 1. It is unfortunate that they only can start at 8 am or start in afternoon without certain window to …

The entire crew was wonderful! They arrived on time and wrapped everything so carefully. They were very efficient and extremely polite. We moved into a historic house with narrow staircases that required a crane to get the furniture upstairs. Wow! I was so impressed with how they expertly they got the furniture through the windows. This is the 2nd time I have used Gentle Giant and recommend them to everyone. They were professional and courteous throughout the entire process. They have made each move so much easier.

This is my second move with Gentle Giant and I've had a consistent high-quality experience. The team leaders are knowledgeable, efficient, and readily adapt to challenges that arise. The movers are hard workers with good attention to detail. Communication with the main office to provide initial quotes and follow through close to the move helps set everyone up for success. I had GG provide my moving boxes and secure parking permits and everything went smoothly.
Outstanding experience from start to finish. I connected by phone to schedule our move and describe the items to be moved in order to get an estimate. I checked in with my Gentle Giant Move Coordinator Sudi several times leading up to moving day. She was pleasant and helpful. When the shape of our move changed on the eve of moving day, Gentle Giant adjusted and sent a revised estimate and the appropriate crew. Lucky me to have Orion and Anderson (and nice weather) for the move.

This was our third move with Gentle Giant—this time all the way across the country—and again they did not disappoint! What consistently astonishes me is how kind, professional and efficient (!) their crews are—I don’t know where they find them or how they’re trained. They waste absolutely no time, yet are super careful and well-organized with everything—including antiques and breakables (even our 18th century grandfather clock!). I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough.
