Artem was wonderful and I wish the experience with Gabriel didn't ruin this company for me. He charged me much more than the quoted amount. His reasoning was that it was because my 1 bedroom D.C. apartment was bigger than normal... I know my apartment is smaller than a normal one bedroom so it doesn't make sense that I allegedly have more stuff than the highest quoted amount. What made this worse is that it was still more expensive after 1. He broke one of my shelves and deducted the price, 2.

The movers who actually do the work are great. BUT, the company is not honest!. They get you sign up for lower price estimate by excluding charges that will show up during actual move. Expect your final charges to go up 50% to 90%. They are so desperate that they will even raise the value of the insured items. When moving out, they charged $444 for transportation insurance. Then 9 months later they increased the insured value for SAME exact items 25% to charge $ 538.
Wasted time --- spent a half an hour on the phone, worked a quote with an employee. Called back the next day and left a voicemail to schedule booking. DID NOT receive a call back. Called back again to only be told that my quote does not exist -- and now can't book them. GREAT JOB GUYS!

Packers were disorganized, forgot to take stuff, and threw other items in random boxes where nobody could find it. I had to return to get my T.V. remote controls, Roomba cleaning robot, mounting hardware, and garage boxes.

This is my second time hiring Gentle Giant, both times for tough hoist jobs, and both times were fantastic experiences all around. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. The first time I hired this company was a couple of years ago, when a crew of four men hoisted a large Room & Board outdoor sectional sofa up to our third-floor roofdeck-- it was a VERY challenging job and they did it phenomenally.

I can’t say enough how very pleased we were with the professionalism, ability, attitudes and skills of our moving team. Gabriel, Andrei & Erick were superb in every way. They were on time for both the moving out and moving in dates. They handled our very heavy furniture with a great deal of ability & skill and reassembled everything perfectly upon arrival to new house. They even wrapped the lightbulb from my table lamp separately and it arrived unbroken. They were pleasant and efficient and did not waste any time.
