In their own words
Sadly this company is very unprofessional and does not stand by their work. Numerous items were broken that they themselves had packed and I was offered by their claims department person Sheri $.60 on the dollar no matter what the item was. I was charge over $1000 more than the original estimate. I also paid to have the Company take down and put back up furniture. Upon dropping off the furniture they had no tools so they weren’t able to do so.
They lost several of our belongings, broke an antique item, and also accidentally gave us other customers belongings (which we returned). Total of about $700 of belongings lost and their resolution was to reimburse us $0.60 cents per pound …
Robin — we’re truly sorry to hear you’re still feeling frustrated, and we understand how stressful it is when things don’t feel resolved. We did complete a full review of your situation, and we’d like to share a little context for anyone reading.
The guys who actually did the work were great. The problem is the administration and their lack of communication. They screwed up the schedule twice...didn't show up the first time for a packing job. Then rescheduled to pack/move/unpack the entire house...we were told they would send a team of 6people to do everything. The day of, they send 3 guys with only instructions to pack kitchen and move stuff.
Sadly, very disappointing. Three broken tiles in the mudroom of my newly built house. Damage to hard wood floor, damage to driveway, damage to drywall, damage to the side of a standing freezer and damage to my Peloton bike, which I didn’t know about until it was past the allotted time to file a claim. To add insult to injury, they recommend you pay extra to them for insurance against damage and I had a $250.00 deductible.
Ellen, this isn't the experience we want on any move, let alone a newly built house, and damage to that many items is a real miss on our end. We're glad the claims process was quick and everything got resolved — that's what it's there for.
The actual movers were great, but, lack of communication from company on arrival. Was woken up first thing in the morning with no warning when truck arrived. Tried to charge me for things they said were free the day of delivery. They seem like good people but a little unorganized. I wouldn’t use them again.
Phillip, we're glad to hear the crew's work stood out. For the record, delivery timing was confirmed with you directly by our driver in the days leading up to arrival, and the 15 items removed at delivery were disposed of at no charge, … More
They quoted $8200 but charged $10200. I did not add 3000 pounds to the move. Broke my new 65 inch Sony TV. Movers were rude, ignorant, unprofessional, and disrespectful. The whole experience was a nightmare. They broke two pieces of antique furniture. Using George W. Weaver was a fatal error.
This company is a joke. The representative came out to see how much stuff we had. We lived in this house for 13 years. The representative said, we had too much stuff to pack, move and store. They refused to help us. This is their whole business. Don’t even bother to call.
It should be noted that this was not a customer of ours. During the estimate, our representative assessed the home and found conditions that were unsanitary and unsafe, including trash littered throughout the house and pet messes … More
I had all items marked by room, but as they got close to finishing, everything was thrown into closest room for them. The crew head and one other crew member were quite rude (rest of guys were good to work with but they had to take their …

Great experience overall! A+ Good communication at every step. Everything happened on time as described. Price was fair. Movers were polite and careful. They worked quickly and with …
I can’t say enough good things about the crew from George Weaver Moving Company. Supervisor Justin and his helpers, Elijah and Casey, were outstanding from start to finish. They were respectful, professional, and incredibly hard-working throughout the entire move. They moved us from Chicago to Hershey seamlessly and flawlessly.
Steve, "moved us seamlessly and flawlessly" from Chicago to Hershey is exactly what we're going for on a long-distance move like this. Justin, Elijah, and Casey clearly earned that "exceeded all of our expectations" line — the care they … More
We moved across the country from Pennsylvania to Texas and right from the very first call for an estimate, we had a tremendously positive experience with George Weaver & Sons Moving Co. On the office side, we worked with the amazing Nicole and later, Pam, who made everything very clear and organized, with very personal and friendly service. We felt immediately that we were in good hands.
Sarah, "friends and family coming alongside of us" for a move this big is about the best compliment there is, and it's great to see the whole chain get called out — Nicole and later Pam keeping the office side clear and personal, then Barry … More
Geo.W.Weaver & Sons Moving was a literal joy to work with during my cross states move. Only company that offered to come to my house and review what I was moving in order to provide an estimate. They are a full service mover from packing thru unloading at the other end. The 2 person crew i worked with were exceptional workers and knew exactly how to load the truck. Not one scratch in either home!
Shannyn, being the only company willing to come do an in-home walkthrough before quoting says a lot right out of the gate, and it's great that carried through with a final cost that came in lower than the estimate — that's not something you … More
