In their own words
I've used this company 3 times total. The company is now under new ownership, with Sierra as the new owner. We paid a significant additional amount for Full Replacement Value Protection and when multiple items were damaged/missing, Sierra flat out told me I was "lying" and proceeded to patronize me by referring to our damages list as a "Fairytale of List" (on our 1st call!). We provided photos of the items on moving day, still in boxes or as they were being unwrapped by movers in our new home.
The correct way to answer a phone is "hello this is Gerber my name is so and so" not "yes???!!!" In an irritated voice. And how is someone supposed to know the exact dimensions of a piano they dont even own yet? Its perfectly reasonable to ask the dimensions and many other questions, but to not even reveal your name and immediately scoff at someone for not knowing dimensions... is crazy.
AWFUL owners!!! They broke a piece of our exercise equipment and are refusing to pay for it to be repaired. It has visible damage and scratches which the moving team showed us. There is damage inside and the equipment now blows a fuse when you plug it in which happened to the movers while they were there. They are now not returning calls and say "How do we know it worked before we moved it". Really shady. Avoid this company. It was plugged in and working when they moved it.
Absolute worst moving experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. Failed to properly protect furniture, multiple items broken, and improperly marked documentation. Dishonest when confronted about the damage. Terrible pack out of the truck led to even more damage.

Why do they assert themselves as piano moving specialists when they fail to even wrap our newly acquired piano in moving carpet? Certainly, this will result in damaging our piano.

Garcia and his crew did an awesome job delivering and setting up our new grand piano. The team was right on time, extremely careful with both the piano and our home, and took the time to place it exactly where we wanted. They were professional, efficient, and very kind; and would highly recommend them!
Gerber Moving was outstanding to work with. They were able to accommodate a tight timeline and a difficult location. They were professional and knowledgeable yet friendly and a pleasure to be around. I was kept in the loop every step of the way with clear communication the whole time. Garcia and his team were absolutely amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to call them for your moving needs. You're in good hands with these movers. Can't say enough good about this excellent experience!
The Garcia Crew were fantastic. They texted letting me know exactly when they would arrive. They were very efficient with the entire team knowing exactly their role and what needed to be done. They were very professional and knowledgeable of their work. I would certainly recommend them to any piano moving needs.
Vic Garcia and Butch were awesome. They arrived on time and did a great job and everything went smoothly. We really can’t thank them enough for all the extra help and advice they were able to share with us. I highly recommend them and will be my first choice if I need to move the piano in the future.
