Moving Proz - Overland Park

DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE GOOD REVIEWS. We hired this company to move us a very short distance. Nick came out and walked through the home to get us an estimate. We accepted the estimate even though we thought it was a little high based on the contents we had, the short distance (approx 2 miles)we were moving and the couple of items needing disassembled. After the time of the estimate to the moving day we had boxed up ALL small contents and moved them out (15 truck loads) leaving just furniture.

The price was reasonable and none of our items were damaged, which was great! We did have a problem with the customer service from our movers. One of the guys who moved our apartment was really rude to us from the start. The other guy was nice, but he really dragged his feet getting things in and out of the truck. We could also overhear them bickering and arguing with each other because the rude one kept putting down the other guy the whole time.

***Edited to add they never refunded the settlement amount offered in writing, nor have they contacted me back after several weeks and attempts. Movers stole items they refuse to take responsibility for. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING Worst moving company and experience ever!!! Several items damaged, charged for a mattress bag but it was never provided, destroyed my mattress and box springs. Did not show any motivation to work and took way longer than it should have.

The Movers did not move some of our furniture. Even after we asked them to several times. Instead they took boxes from the garage that we specifically told them that we were going to move them with our car. I called their customer service and was told they would not compensate us for leaving several pieces. When I asked why the response was that the items were not included in the inventory. I had included these items in the photos they asked me ro send. No apolagies from them at all.

Recently used moving pros. The booking process was smooth. However, moving day was not without issues. First, I was quoted for a two man crew. When I was greeted by a three man crew I was concerned because I knew the quote was based off of “man hours”. The third guy that they added was brand new, the other movers had to give him guidance on how to move most of the furniture which wasted time. He also put a hole in my wall while moving an end table.

2026 edited to add i used this company for third time. Absolutely terrible!!! The third time I have used them. They took more than twice as long and had an additional crew member. They have taken advantage and charged double the amount. I have been going back and forth for days. The reason their rating are so high is bc they attempt to bully customers who leave honest reviews by telling them they have to take the review down in order to receive a refund.

I hired Moving Proz back in September 2023 to move me into a new apartment within the same building complex. They underestimated the cost of my move by almost 30% ($250). One of the movers was complaining of his back being out and took personal calls for a different side job, while he was on the clock. The other 2 movers were really competent. During the move, they damaged the walls of my old apartment, broke a wheel on my office chair and destroyed a mattress cover.

Do. Not. Use. 1. We got totally taken in by the smooth sales person we talked to before signing a contract. After that, we were never able to contact him on his "direct number." Instead, you will reach someone in another country who has no idea where your things are. Billing and invoicing are outsourced as well. 2. On packing day they sent a 3-man crew. One guy spent the first hour on the phone and eventually left. He was replaced by a crew member who clearly was inexperienced.
