Jim was extremely unprofessional, using profanity and yelling. He under estimated the space and did not have a truck big enough. Had a second truck came 2 weeks later. Many things were damaged and missing. He broke a tv stand, sent one from eBay but it did not fit and then charged me $50. As a former employee of an actual PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY, I can without any doubt whatsoever say that the service Helping Hands Moving is far and beyond what anyone would ever expect as “professional.” My soon-to-be 78 year old father hired this so-called company to move him from Ocala to Wildwood on Friday, March, 14th, 2025. They were supposed to show up between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Due to a longer move prior taking place prior to his move, they didn’t show up until 5:15 pm.
Thanks for the review, I guess we're just going to keep getting hit with negative reviews over this job from unrelated customers. The manager of the park told me to report abuse from anyone affiliated and he would make sure he would not renew the lease.
Horrible experience, worker showed up an hour late. Out of the three helpers one had to leave for personal reasons another sprained his ankle. When I called the owner he informed me he was walking off the job and going to unpack my stuff and leave it in the front yard to find somebody else. After speaking with his employees I found out this is a common practice for him. Worst experience I’ve ever had to deal with. Avoid them like the plague.
Hi thanks for the review, after dealing with an unsafe environment with a rotted porch we still moved a complete load from Summerfield to Inverness for you for a heavily discounted rate. When we couldn't have another crew out immediately you cursed and hung up the phone on us.
As an experienced mover who moves every 12 months, hiring this company to handle my move was the biggest mistake ever. I highly caution those receiving low ball quotes, have several conversations to be SURE that the quote is accurate, then to be billed DOUBLE when the job is done. When contacting Jim to discuss the charge, as his customer, I was screamed at, belittled, called names, accused of not being able to pay my Bill.

This company not registered with SUNBIZ nor it has a USDOT required to operate. if you hire them it would be at your own risk. I tried to hire them and was fortunate enough to discover my findings to raise a RED FLAG. The owner of this company himself cancelled my reservation when I asked him for his certificate of Insurance.
Thanks for the review, We operate within the state of Florida and are considered an INTRASTATE moving company. You have us confused with an INTERSTATE moving company. After talking to you on the phone you were unable to give us a box count and laughed and said you had many of them.
Used helping hands this past August 2024, I didn’t know they hired known convicts. Over $80,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. Figured it out at the end of the move. Supposedly they were fired. Be careful & inquire if they have a criminal record. Went back to using College Hunks of Tampa. Used several times without any incidents!! Just a “heads up!”

Very poor service! Walked off a job and left a poor 85 year old lady with her bed and belongings sitting out in her front yard, because they said she threatened them over broken items. This is exploitation of the elderly! They got the money! What if this was your Mother
We went above and beyond, leaving an 85 year old woman to move herself that has memory issues and playing armchair selective outrage is the problem. The family scattered when work was being performed.
I do not recommend after hours of speaking with this company and promising to set up and appointment I was told no way was he going to accommodate a move for my needs. Very unprofessional. Would never recommend. This was going to be a move to another state.

In their own words
These guys were amazing. Jim responded promptly to my request for moving a piano. He coordinated everything and they arrived at the location right when he said they would. When the piano turned out to be heavier than expected and they had to move it up a few steps, they got the job done efficiently without any complaining. They treated the piano like it was a priceless museum art piece.

Hands down best movers I’ve used . They are efficient, treated my home with respect as well as me . Timely, friendly, fair pricing , responsive . Helping Hand Moving services helped me out with moving items that I couldn't get moved on my own . It was a last minute appointment that i needed and they got an appointment set up right away . The gentleman called about 30 min before the appointment time to let me know they were on their way , which is awesome and they showed up right on time . They took great care in moving the items out of the house and into the truck and made sure that they covered items that could have been easily damaged.

So when i got approved for a house i knew right away i needed a moving company. I used flat Rate in the past from NY to Florida and they were okay but this time i was only moving 12 minutes away and not much to move, 20-25 boxes, 4 beds, 3 tv’s, 2 tv stands, kitchen table and couches. I checked the local listing and received a few quotes from chain comp to local company’s and Jim from helping hands gave me a great quote, was available on the date i needed AND no payment until the job is done.
