The two movers (who I believe were also the company owners) we worked with were initially very nice. However, the communication around the cost of the move was a huge miss. They tried to implement a heavy moving fee after the fact for moving common household items (a couch, dressers) without actual knowledge of how much they weighed and without discussing that additional fee with us first.

I was hit with undisclosed charges for gas of $100 even after I was charged for mileage ($.85 per mile). He then charged me $130 to move a medium size armoire because it was heavy. They didn’t put 3 dressers back together and a few of the shelve pegs are missing. They had to make two trips because the truck was small (3 bedroom house) and they left me grandfathers armoire in the basement of the house
Hey Cheryl Burner, I would definitely appreciated if you was being honest in your review but this review is definitely under explaining the situation. Every customer is covered for 30mi of travel. This move was 156mi from bridgeville, PA to Weirton WV. We charge $1.75/per mile after the 30mi.
The most expensive local move we’ve ever paid for. Took them 11 hours to move an 1,100 sf house 5 minutes away. Then they charged $200 extra for a dresser because it was a “heavy” item. Literally the dresser was light wood from IKEA. And they don’t take credit cards at all, so my checking account is overdrafted today. They force you to write a review first to get $40 off (which from almost 3k was worthless). They went so far over their original quote that we should have used any of the other companies we had bid.

Demetrius and his team was way over their head with our packing and moving. For packing (which they did not even complete) they charged us 3 times of what Demetrius had initially quoted (which I paid in full) after a complete walk through of our property and then when asked whether they were going to do the same for the move, he canceled at 11 PM the night before the date of move. Did not even call us, simply sent an email.
This is completely false, Professionalism is at the forefront of every Move, Ms.Debbie has a 3-Story Home, completely filled with furniture and other belongings, Ms.Debbie praised us on our work but hated it took 10hrs and 44mins to pack, they did nothing to mitigate our time for the pack, the…
BEWARE – ILLEGAL MOVING COMPANY!! I checked this company's credentials on the official Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) website and they are NOT listed as a legal moving company. That means they are operating without proper PUC authority, which is against the law in Pennsylvania. Using an unlicensed mover puts your belongings at serious risk. There’s no insurance, no regulation, and no accountability if something goes wrong. Do not use this company under any circumstances!
Very inexperienced workers. There was no efficiency in work. I ended up paying 300 plus dollars more than what was planned. There was no planning. I have worked with a couple of movers. Not my best experience.
Hello Kan, I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience you had with the movers. As per our initial estimate, the movers were scheduled to complete the job in a maximum of 5 hours. However, the actual time taken was 4 hours and 50 minutes.

I can’t express how highly I recommend this company. Showed up on time, & unfortunately the 2nd movers car broke down so he wasn’t able to make it. The mover never stopped apologizing & was super professional & extremely careful with all of our stuff. Packed the truck perfect, covered everything & tied things down properly. My girlfriend and I ended up helping just to make things go faster since the other mover had car trouble & they ended up giving us the ENTIRE move completely free.

I'm very happy that we hired Home Sweet Moving. They were friendly, professional and reliable. Demetrius did an excellent job of explaining the process and the pricing when we booked the move. We were looking for a fairly last minute move and scheduled Home Sweet Movers because they were the first ones we found who were available and had good reviews. At first, I was worried because in the confirmation text they moved out time two hours earlier and told us they didn't move TVs without boxes. They also informed me that their payment system was down so they wouldn't be able to accept credit or debit cards. In the end, though, the move went extremely smoothly.

Excellent moving company, but they couldn't move a baby grand piano despite saying they could. The service was excellent, with the movers arriving generally on time, the pricing was fair, the guys were friendly and very quick with moving everything. There were no hidden charges, fees, or cost overruns. I had a particularly complex move being on a very steep hill and needing a couple of large items moved.
Hello Tucker, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the inability to disassemble the piano legs. The movers encountered difficulty at a hardware store and were unable to locate suitable tools to complete that part of the job. We sincerely apologize buddy!
