In their own words
I did a local move with these guys and had some good points but also some bad points. When I initially called to schedule for a Saturday, they stated it would start in the morning. Perfect, that's what I wanted. I also told them I had a gun safe and gave them exact weight and was told that it wouldn't be an issue. They called three days before our move and said 3 guys would be moving us at 9am Saturday. Great. Friday night I get a text message that they won't start until 12:30-1pm.

Jake and Jose were great workers but their communication left a lot to be desired. They gave us a window of 9-10 am that they would show up and were not at our house until 10:45. I tried texting and calling with no response until they finally called 10 minutes out. They immediately got to work and were fast and efficient. Once the truck was full (note: the house was not completely moved yet) they unloaded at the new house.

We booked Jake & Jose for a small move from our son’s apartment to a storage facility. We were informed they would come early afternoon but never given a time. After 5 phone calls and 2 texts with no response we finally went to U-Haul to book a truck and figure it out ourselves. It was now 3:00 pm. While at the U-Haul store, we saw Jake and Jose and asked them if they were getting ready to come and do our move.
We apologize for the inconvenience. We had scheduled you for the afternoon once we finished up with another job we had that morning. Our first job took much longer than we expected, and didn’t get back until after 3pm.
Scheduled with Jack on 6/1 for moving services on 6/11. Had great communication leading up to the move day, then didn't respond to texts or calls, exepct to tell me that they wouldn't be able to make it today. no explanation, no follow up and they blocked my number right after.

I've moved with bigger moving companies before this move with Jake and Jose. Jake and Jose were faster, more affordable and less restrictive (can move plants and unboxed tvs). They were friendly, flexible, careful and very organized. The only area for improvement would be a more solid way for confirming the move, but Jake was really responsive through text so that wasn't too much of a problem. Highly recommend!
We had Jake and Jose helping us moved from our apartment to our house in this middle August. They came on time and very professional, efficient, and very nicely done the work within about two hours! Unbelievable excellent job! We have many bags and boxes! They deserve more than what they get paid. I will highly recommend this moving service to everyone! They are the ones you are looking for!
I’ve gone through a few companies over the years and Jose and Jake were by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Two honest guys who work hard, and you can tell they love what they do. Great pricing as well. If you’re in Iowa this is who you want!
We had a fantastic experience with Jake & Jose Moving! They showed up on time, were incredibly flexible, and were wonderful to work with from start to finish. Our move ended up taking the entire day, and they never once complained or made us feel rushed. They also deserve some serious credit for not giving up on our king size mattress when it absolutely did NOT want to make it up the stairs! 😂 They kept at it until they figured it out. Everyone was personable, respectful, friendly, and professional.
