In their own words
Absolutely despicable and unprofessional! I wish I could give zero stars! I had a move date and time scheduled with them for the end of July at 8am. I thought I was going to have a slight issue with not being able to get into my new place until 2pm so I called to see if the movers could come around noon to 1pm instead of 8am. I only asked a simple question to see what could be done.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and best luck with your upcoming move.
14 Sep 2021 - I called JM Movers yesterday for a quote to move furniture from a one bedroom condo in Gaithersburg, MD to my house in Somerville NJ. They sent me an email with an incomplete Moving Estimate which they refer to as a Contract. …
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
My experience with JM Movers was a bit of a mixed bag. They gave me a really competitive price and were able to accommodate my long distance move for the date I needed. They were really great and efficient at packing and almost everything arrived unharmed (we had a couple really obtuse items that got dinged but we kind of expected that). And everyone that came out to help us move were all really friendly.
Tanks Matt Lowe for your positive review! We are glad your move was a success and we look forward to working with you in the future.
Excellent experience this weekend with JM! Front start to finish I received outstanding customer service and top notch treatment. The quote was reasonable, and the movers were prompt and professional. They were careful and meticulous, and moved my belongings with care. If you're in the DMV area and in need of top quality movers, give them a call today!

(I never ever leave reviews, but I know how difficult it can be to know which moving company you can trust with everything you own.) JM Movers was great. We researched a lot of companies, and JM Movers had a competitive price. But we mostly chose them because of their great reviews and easy communication. Our move: in May 2026 we moved from Washington, DC, to Seattle, WA. We were especially nervous about if our property would get damaged from such a long drive.
Hi Corr, thank you so much for the five star review we’re very pleased to know that you were satisfied with your with our services working with you again in the future!
I have used JM Movers not once, but twice now. The first time I use them to move was three years ago when I moved from apartment to apartment in Alexandria,VA. This time they moved from that apartment in Alexandria up to Baltimore, MD. When it came time that I had to move, I without hesitation, called JM Movers to ask if they would do this move again because my experience was so great the first time with them. Sergio and his team did this move for me and this was also the second time I had Sergio as a mover.
Thank you very much, Nicole Desiano for your review. We are delighted that you had a good experience moving in with JM MVERS. We strive every day to make the relocation of our clients as stress-free as possible. If we can be of service to you in the future, please reach out at any time.
