I hired this company last year to move my furniture and not only was I overcharged, but they broke multiple pieces of furniture that I have to replace out of pocket. Be aware that although they might charge you a lower than the competition, depending on the team you get, they will rush to complete the job with absolute disregard for your furniture. The customer service was great and so was the initial person who handled the logistics. However, the team that showed up was completely unprofessional.

Be careful, probably fake reviews on here, read our experience and judge for yourself. In February 2022, my family hired Nation Capital Moving company to move their household goods and belonging from MD to CA. we paid the $4900 for the move. At the time, the business had good reviews on google and we felt comfortable going with them. This was probably the worse decision we could have made. After we received our shipment in CA, the designated destination, we noticed that we were missing up to 7 boxes.

8 to 10 of our boxes are missing.( This is not including the $3,000- $4,000 dollars music keyboard which was lost) Anything from medical records to family and baby pictures to boxes of clothes, shoes, jewelries, handbags, cosmetics, dresser, shredder, frames and jackets were missing. They were either stolen by the company's employees or dropped off at the wrong house.

I previously gave Nation Capital Movers (NCM)an excellent review. It appears I was mistaken. We moved in May from Virginia. The NCM stored our boxes and delivered them to NY in February. It took us some time to unpack as we were waiting for new furniture. We have come to find out that a lawn sculpture was not delivered. It cost about $900 and the insurance company offered us about $20. We finally unpacked and, much to our dismay, found that at least 8 oil paintings and prints were not delivered.

Called to ask a few questions about their service for my upcoming move. No one answered. Jason called back and was less than enthusiastic about answering my questions. I asked if 3rd party trucks were used, how quotes are formulated, about direct delivery and logistics. His responses were curt and adversarial. They offer zero flexibility and ridiculous arguments for their ridged practices. He said that after loading my my things in the truck, the truck would then transport my things to a warehouse somewhere.

My wife and I are both military we received an 800$ quote and in less than 1 hour they called back and increased quote to 1500$ - remember this is a quote they didn’t come out to see the work but somehow they feel justified in increasing their quote over Ra text - this company has no honor. we have one bed and a few boxes that’s it for 1500$ for a local move, and to make it worse they were 400$ more than the next highest quote insane.
