JP's Moving Services LTD

I hired JPs to help my family move for the second time in two years. Our first experience in Dec 2023 was great as Travis and his team worked tirelessly, quickly and efficiently to make sure my home and my property were treated with the utmost respect! Sadly in May of this year, Travis was no longer with the company and we didn’t have the same treatment at all. The new team was scheduled the wrong day, and needed to be rescheduled. The on the correct day, started out at the incorrect address.

I recently had JP's do a move. It was a 2 bedroom condo, so no appliances other than an upright freezer. Other items included a king size mattress, double mattress, 2 dresses, sofa, 4 arm chairs, 2 desks, 3 larger wood pieces of furniture, 28 small, 32 medium, 1 large, 3 extra large and 3 garment boxes. After listing the contents, I was quoted 2-4 hours for 2 movers. The move took 9!! That's a startling difference. I've moved dozens of times and I have NEVER had a move take 9 hours.

I booked a move for today, and was told they would arrive between 1-2pm. I confirmed the date and time and moving locations via text this morning and they sent me an “Ok 👍” back. They have not shown up yet, and it’s 3:15pm now I only have my building elevator booked until 4pm. Called several times, left a voicemail and several texts with no response. Voicemail inbox is now full. Extremely unprofessional. Update: I had to re-book my move with another company.

Unfortunately I did not have the best experience working with this company. I booked a move with them a month prior to moving this past Thursday at 9 am. I reached out to them on Wednesday the day before to confirm everything was still good and they confirmed yes. No one showed up at 9 am when I had everything ready to be moved to my new place.

Received a quote of between $700 and $1100 for 2 men and time of between 4 and 6 hrs for a 2 bedroom apartment. The guys arrived an hour late, came with a 1/2 ton truck and trailer and no tools with which to take apart a bed. Eight and a half hours later and $1600 I was finally moved. I also had a burel end table damaged somehow. I tried to submit a claim, however all Brad wanted was a picture of the damage. Two weeks later I'm still trying to get my end table repaired.

I don't usually write reviews but felt this one was necessary. My daughter just moved today and hired JP's moving services. She had very little to move, and one additional stop to make on the way. When I said she had very little we are talking about a bedroom suite, a sectional an additional bed, coffee tables and approximately 20 boxes and totes. She received a quote and giving what she had we didn't think it would take any longer than four hours.

First, the 2 people that actually did my move were awesome - good-natured, hard working, with positive attitudes. That said, the boss BRAD, who seemed very nice, was not very organized or professional. Not good traits for a boss in a very busy summer moving season. Brad double-booked his fine employees, so on the big day, my 9am move became a 2:15pm move - and this was 4 days before end of the month even. The guys did their best throughout, but they were tired!

Very upset and disappointed have had time now, that I’m settled in my place and see damages the movers did to my stuff. They ruined my material headboard from Sleep Country , broke a leg on my convection oven and also busted my drawer on my T.V. stand took $ 20 for the fuel. Very careless and in a hurry, my mother was here as well and she was telling them to be careful. And she mentioned to them previous about the experience that I had with the other accredited BBB movers A+ what they did.
