Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

Used them end of April 2023. Extremely disappointed with their service, MUST say WHEN booking the service follow up calls and emails every 2nd day. The final charges due were almost double, and they were very unprofessional members. Even their site supervisor admitted and agreed ON the spot that he would NOT charge all the hours which were wasted by the movers.

We booked Two Men and a Truck to help us move our household in a narrow but manageable window of time. The gentlemen who came were professional and worked fast. So for the actual moving part, I have no complaints. We were quoted $2,600 for this originally and paid it on September 30, 2022. We were told they would arrive between 9-10 AM. Instead, they arrived at 11:00 AM, packed until 2:30, then left. Even arriving late, they still had enough time to reach the new drop off destination before 5:00 PM.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They quoted moving costs for me which was great, initially the customer service was great. Moving costs were well over $1000 so I expected to have great service. The movers showed up and were so slow that we had to go get our own moving truck and start moving alongside of them as we had to be out of our house by a designated time. They moved less then half of what was quoted but I was still charged for almost the entire move.

I would give them a zero if that was possible. The team of two that was sent for my move (3 bed 1 bath small house) was one young man, and one high school age boy, who have clearly never done this job before. They parked 2 houses away for some reason, and did not realize they could use the ramp until 4 hours into the move. They took 45 minutes to travel between locations, which are 6 minutes apart.

The movers were efficient and friendly. They did break a few items but were apologetic. They gave a minor credit to cover the broken items. I appreciate the gesture; however, it didn’t cover the cost of the broken items or the need to get my house professionally cleaned again. I specifically told the movers I’d just had the house professionally cleaned and carpets steam cleaned. They kept their shoes on (which I understand is more efficient) but said they would put down runners and pads.

The team that arrived were awesome, Noelle, Russell and Matthew did an amazing job. The negative part of this process is this. They were supposed to arrive at 9:00 am. I got a call from dispatch at 9:19 saying the driver had to stop for fuel and now on the highway and would arrive in 30 minutes. At 9:50 the driver called me and said he was in Edmonton getting fuel and would be 45 minutes. They finally arrived at 10:45, almost an hour later.

Movers were late, we were charged for a mattress bag when they didn't even move our mattress or bed at all. They complained about having to move so many things when in reality I was very upfront about what had to be moved (small furniture items, and some slightly larger), no boxes. Rather than carry some of the lighter items together, why not strap them to a dolly and bounce them down the stairs?

We had used this moving company to get our belongings into a storage locker. The movers were friendly, but I’ve never had so many articles damaged before. Furniture was only partially disassembled (the cribs 4 sides left as 2 L shaped pieces and hung over the edge of boxes long side hanging, unnecessary pressure on screws) and horribly packed in the locker. They tried to pick up a curio cabinet with the glass shelves still inside it, they later broke glass on a curio.
