Consumer beware - Luggers of Wilmington caused damages, overcharged for truck rental, and did not respond to customer or insurance company attempt to contact for my 83-year-old mother’s move.
I sent in a request for pricing and never heard anything back so I sent a follow up email and still did not get a response. I will be looking elsewhere.

Chose this company back in August because they had good reviews and the price was affordable. I was quoted a price that included things like TV boxes, blankets and shrink wrapping furniture. They didn't use any of the additional things to protect my furniture yet charged the same price. Then, they tore the linoleum in both my apartment and my new home while moving the washer and dryer. They managed to wedge one of the feet on the dryer up into the machine causing it to tilt.
I hired Junkluggers to unload a moving truck for me. Everything went smoothly until they offered to hook up my washer and dryer. Since they offered, I took them up on it. They did not install the washing machine properly. I have a second floor laundry room. 1 load of laundry cause massive water damage in my brand new house. I had a plumber come to assess the leak, and he realized they did not put the washers in the hoses when they hooked up the machine.
Called to get a quote on transporting a king mattress from Castle Hayne to the landfill. I called the landfill to verify the fee and it is only $10 yet this company quoted me $140 to take it 10 minutes up the road. I do not recommend.
Traveling on I40 @ 12:15 at Mile marker 5. SB. Passed on nicely stenciled truck The driver was obviously texting. Continually looking down at the phone. We could see the phone. C’mon! 👎👎

From the moment that James came out to give us an estimate to the last piece of furniture being placed in our new home, the move was completely seamless! Joe, Keaton and Ryan were professional, friendly and helpful in every way. Don’t look any further than Junkluggers for your next move! I wouldn’t consider anyone else. AND they came in under the estimate price. It was a win-win all around.
Wow - I cannot say enough good things about Junkluggers & Luggers Moving of Wilmington! We were given James' name by the realtor we were working with and had to deal with everything almost completely remotely. James was fantastic - I'm pretty sure he works 24/7 because he was in constant communication and helped us pull of a huge move in a matter of weeks. He even helped get us organized by going to the house and taking pictures before family could get down to the house.
Junkluggers was AWESOME!!! Very professional and timely. They called prior to arrival. The guys were very easy going. Walked through and gave me an estimate which was more than reasonable. They kept me posted throughout the process. I was cleaning out my parents condo and there was A LOT of stuff. I was updated to let me know it was going to take more room for the items and the estimate was going to change prior to loading it. It wasn’t like they gave me a low bid then puffed it up by any means.
