Miracle Movers

I’m not one to write negative reviews so I’ve had to think about this for a while. But I finally decided I had to write it. I will start with the guys were really nice and very accommodating however, many things went wrong with this move. They lacked attention to detail. Such as not keeping up with parts. We found a support post for our long dresser. We gave it to them, but we found later they didn’t bother to attach it.

We hired Miracle Movers for a local move. They ended up tacking on $1,400 + over the agreed upon price. Said it was because we needed many more boxes than they quoted. We asked for proof, they refused to show us the actual breakdown of boxes, but did tell us that we were charged for TV and art boxes (pricey). Didn’t need any since we moved those items ourselves. We took MM to small claims court citing excessive overage cost, won, and they had to pay us back.

An absolutely horrific experience. (1) The movers showed up at our house without any packing supplies and were unaware that they would be packing our household items. Although this only delayed the start of the packing of our residence by a couple of hours, it highlights the extraordinarily poor communication skills of the “Relocation Specialist” of Miracle Movers Raleigh (5104 Chin Page Rd, Durham, NC 27703).

They came & packed & stored house furniture after plumbing catastrophe, charged extra for grandfather clock move. They held our furniture hostage until we paid repair contractor, who stole $50 K from us.even though they were paid! When they finally brought our stuff, they lost half of our stuff, dumped the grandfather clock in living room unassembled! They.backed truck on thin pavement edge & broke that (thousands $ damage) and shoved iPad in my face demanding a tip for their great service!

In September of 2024 my wife and I had MM move our things from downtown Myrtle Beach to Sacostee. In the process, multiple items were damaged to include our brand new refrigerator; Every side of the unit was damaged with dings, scratches and dents. This is directly due to pure negligence since they never wrapped the appliance with anything more than a thin plastic wrap, with no cushioning qualities. Not even between the hand cart and the appliance.

We hired Miracle Movers based on a realtor referral, and it became the most unprofessional, frustrating move we’ve ever experienced—and we’re a military family who has moved many times. We dealt with late arrivals, careless handling of belongings, poor communication, and repeated price changes. Rob from Miracle Movers gave an in-home estimate of $3,900 for packing and transporting our household goods from Hope Mills to Virginia.

I hired miracle movers in December 2021 to move a small player piano from a house. This piano had never been moved before. It was being moved 5 miles across town from first floor yo first floor. The Company charged me $600 to move this where it barely took 2 men to carry as they commented on how light it was. The movers placed the piano in the sitting room, and had me immediately sign a form and left. When I plugged the piano in that day the screen display was broken.

First we have 6 beds and 2 dine in table 6 chairs washer and dryer plus a baby grand ! All other small things are moved before moving company came! They send 4 guys to move all of above ! Which takes 5.5 hours ! Wow, that is including my husband came to separate the bed frame and even my 15 years old jump in and help to carry ! Otherwise , it could be 7 hours ! Charge by hourly $250!
