Pink Zebra Moving of Wilmington, NC

What started out sounding great, it quickly went down hill. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Pink Zebra. The process started out very well, Pam our consultant was quick to respond and answer our questions and provide a quote for our move(unfortunately the quote was significantly less than what we actually were billed and paid, so plan for your quote to be 1.5-2X less than actual cost!). When the move was approaching we had unanswered emails and calls regarding the process.

It is pretty simple, my almost new bed was damaged and unfortunately in a visible place. We showed the movers, he took photos, expressed remorse and told us to file a claim with the office, which we did. The claim was denied because the bed was constructed with "compressed" wood and they are not responsible for furniture built with compressed wood. Mind you, this compressed wood footboard cost $500 to replace.

To say this moving company is horrible is an understatement. They are completely unprofessional and customer service is not a part of the company policy. Pink Zebra will break your furniture and when you file a complaint for them to pay for damages, they will tell you it is your fault, your furnitures fault, and every other excuse to not own up that their movers are careless. I would never recommend this company to anyone and I would suggest you find another mover, because Pink Zebra is not it!

I was quoted verbally and on my online statement that the dump fee was $50. What they didn’t mention was that the dump fee has a $200 labor charge added on to it as well. When I called and asked about this charge, I was told it was “standard policy.” I was not made aware of the $200 standard policy labor charge when I called to confirm that the dump fee was only $50 3 different times. (Also, I only requested two items to be dumped.

Want half of your furniture damaged? Then go ahead and use Pink Zebra! My couch has a hole in the bottom, one cabinet is completely destroyed, coffee table corner smashed in, desk legs broken, headboard ripped, tv stand and bookshelf scratched and dented, and several boxes crushed. The movers smashed my desk into the wall causing damage, then did it again on a different wall with my shelf, and full on dropped my couch.

Crew was over 2 hrs late showing up at my house on moving day. Took almost 8 hrs to load up. They were supposed to arrive at my new house at 11 the next morning but didn't show up until almost 2 pm. Some of my furniture was damaged. Solid cherry headboard cracked on one corner. Refrigerator door handle badly scratched. New scratches and chips that were not previously there on furniture legs.

The quote price was spot on accurate for the final cost and the movers were friendly and helpful. However, I was missing a step ladder and a Samsung sound bar after the move. It took 3 days and me calling 5 times to finally find out that the sound bar had been found but the step ladder had been lost. I paid $57.63 for this 3 step HBTower step ladder last year on Amazon. Based on Pink Zebra's claim repayment, they would reimburse me $7.14 because the item weighs 11.9lbs and they pay $0.60 per pound for a lost item.

UPDATE: regarding the disgusting pile of dishonesty you responded with. I’ve never been more ashamed of any human being to sit here and respond the way you have with nothing with absolute filthy lies. Unlucky for you - I had professional photos taken of our home DATED AND TIME STAMPED days before moving out of our home and every bit of furniture you all destroyed is documented. It was all brand new furniture so it’s quite comical you would say there was prior damage.
