K & J'z Moving Inc

My name is Patricia Joan Joseph Kiper Orth, RN, BSN. I hired this moving service for April 12, 2016. They successfully moved almost all of my belongings. The chair, specifically designed to hold and keep SAFE my $3000.00 worth of HEIRLOOM Jewelry, and $400.00 CASH, were NOT delivered to my new apartment. I allowed two incapable bumbling K&J movers alone in my first apt for 45 minutes so that my then 18 year old son and I could sign the lease and obtain keys to our new apartment.

INADEQUATE COMPENSATION FOR DAMAGE I have used them before but I regret using them this time. I only had 4 items to move. The untrained amateurs that John sent royally screwed my perfect condition stainless steel tool chest. The kid used 1 inadequate ratchet strap to secure the tool chest. It broke. The top half of my tool chest fell and was seriously damaged. I cannot even unlock it to remove the tools. The manufacturer doesn't make them anymore.

I called to hire this company for a local move. They were due to arrive on Friday June 23. I called June 19 to confirm the time. I spoke to Kash. He confirmed the date and time. He said they have one job ahead of us and it should be around 11:00. My husband took the day off from work and was at home getting ready for them to arrive. When they finally arrived around 1:30 they took a tour of the house.

We first used them 4/03. They were good. So used again 4/16. I had walked foreman around outside to point out a patio set that was to be loaded. I left them to their job of loading my house assuming they didn't need supervising. Several months later when I moved into another residence the 7 piece aluminum patio set we had for twenty years was absent! I called John to report as well as some damage to custom buffet they promised to cover in storage. John started balking right off.

BEWARE!!! I have had an heirloom rifle under the couch in my upstairs bedroom for 20 some-odd years and in the frenzy of preparing for the move forgot to move it to a safe place. After the move I realized I did not have the rifle at the new home. When I asked about it John told me his guys knew not to touch firearms and would have asked me to remove it myself. Neither of the guys asked me about it. He dismissed my questions by saying it must have been other visitors to my home.

Absolutely the worst. First, they told me I was absolutely covered for full value on anything they damaged. They broke a large stone statue and then claimed they wanted to 'fix it', which could not be done as it was the face and head that were destroyed. Now I call them up and am informed that they won't pay the value as they first told me. When I told them I would hire an attorney, he stated he's heard this a thousand times and to do what I have to do, which of course I will. These two guys are a scam.

These guys are extremely rude. I encountered them today when trying to access my own personal storage. Their truck was blocking the drive way in the storage facility and I asked if they could move back a little so I could get through as it is a one way. The guy says "we are trying to do a job here" very rudely and told me to go the other way. I explained I was unable to do so as it is posted on signs and ground that it is a one way.

Damaged my 85 inch Samsung TV after I asked them if it would be safe in the move. I was told not to worry that they would wrap it and cover it in moving blankets. The corner was dropped and the screen damaged. All they would give me was $500 for a Tv that cost $2000 and was 18 months old. John told me that it was my fault because it was not in a box, I had told them that there would not be a box when I booked the move. Do yourself a favor and chose another mover , K & J are unethical liars
