When you leave a client waiting for you to return because you thought they were not packed and left saying you'd be back is very unprofessional... You show up an hour early with no notice of a time change and make a decision you can't move anything because some items in one room were still needed to be packed that are going into boxes. When furniture and other items need to go on your truck . Your told these items will be ready in a half hour but the workers leave with nothing telling you their return .and don't.
Terrible! Based on a list I sent Ken his price was between $700 and $1,100. After they finished for the day he handed me a bill for $1,250 with half of my items on the list still at the old location. Ken was more interested in tidying up his moving blankets than moving furniture. They also broke two pieces of furniture, one they fixed the other they didn't tell me about. The broken piece may have been an oversight because overall I feel Ken's employees were professional.
What a nightmare! I called on August 4 to schedule my move for Saturday August 6 after reading several positive online reviews. I told Ken circumstances surrounding my move such as some things were staying behind in my 2 bedroom apartment, which furniture was going to my new home, and some items I was transporting myself. In addition to plastic storage bins, I used boxes picked up from the liquor store with at least 25 ready to go.
Movers were rude and arrogant. Granted, I had a conflict with construction folks in my way, of course on my move day. But the workers had no people skills to deal with the situation, and kept threatening to cancel my move. Tall skinny guy was as arrogant and cocky as they come. I did have some items damaged during my move and they did nothing. Look for a bigger national name. You really pay for whay you get with moving.....
As the truck leaves my house I am in shock as one of the workers berated me for the second time in my own house. They neglected to bag my mattress and when I said that their hands were dirty one of them took offense. Then two of them started to lecture me. I was in tears as they left...laughing and honking. These were the worst kinds of Americans.
They showed up. Looked around and said they wouldn't move any of our stuff. None of it. Took the day off with my pregnant wife to have the movers say they wouldn't move. Merry Christmas. They are apparently willing to work with us. I may change this review depending on the outcome, but it will involve taking another day off.
I warn you people please do not have this people move your stuff. They broke some of my stuff and charged me arms and legs just to put the rest of my stuff in the home. Be careful people, make sure you guys get everything in writing, because the owner is incompetent. I wish I can give them zero.
Hi M&H, according to our records, we have never provided services to you. It appears that your review is either fake or you have us confused with another company. (There are, or were, 2 other Kens who do moving in the Rochester area) Your statement that "the owner is incompetent" is insulting…
We have them booked to move us out today, they arrived early and because we had stuff on our dining room table they decided to pack it up and call it a day at noon. Owner won’t answer my calls now.

In their own words
The truck arrived right on time and the crew was extremely quick and efficient. They started right away and had everything loaded on the truck within 30 minutes. I had purchased some furniture over the weekend and had to pick it up which wasn't part of the original estimate, but they were accommodating and added that stop and still finished in record time and under budget.
Ken was super thorough and helpful when reviewing what was needed for my moving appointment. He set clear expectations and was extremely responsive. The two guys that showed up to help me move were right on time and got the job done quickly. They were very professional. I would absolutely recommend Ken’s Neat Moving and will use them for my next move!
This is the 4th time I have used Ken’s. Every time I have not only been impressed, but relaxed and taken care of. Not the typical experience you get while moving. This last and most recent time (today 5/4/21) I helped plan arrangements to move my mother from her 4 bedroom home that she has lived in for the last 22 years into a newly built/1 floor/2 bedroom condominium.
I am beyond impressed with Ken's. I called Ken after calling a few other places to get quotes on a local move here in Rochester. Ken's was the most reasonably priced that I found. It was also a plus that he had availability for a weekday move with just 2 weeks notice. After discussing in detail what I needed moved, he gave me a very realistic quote with the estimated best and worst case scenarios for cost. This was appreciated as we've all heard stories of how costs can be added at the end.
