In their own words
I hired Legacy to move my one bedroom into a 2br townhouse. After the move I found damage on several items. They scratched the top of my table. They left a huge scrape on the floor of my old apartment from moving the couch. They tore the underside of my mattress and they scraped my bookshelf. The movers complained constantly about the heat, the heaviness of the items and the stairs, then pressured me for a large tip.
Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with our move. The list of issues is quite long, starting with them sending a truck that was too small and ending with all of our belongings being ruined in some way. Our white sofas, bedframe, and rocking chair were covered in black handprints and stains. We decided just to dump our headboard which was covered in dirt, oil, and handprints. I kindly asked the movers to wash their hands after noticing that my nursery rocking chair was filthy.
Review DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They did an incredibly, horrible job moving for us. The lack of respect for other people’s property is appalling. Imagine someone took all of your belongings and threw it in your garage. Boxes upside down/on their sides and no sort of stacking or things were stacked on boxes clearly labeled “nothing on top.” That is what they did. No regard or care at all. They didn’t put it in there in a nice, logical order, but just chucked things in there.
Unfortunately going to have to edit my review; I keep discovering damages, chips, gouges, and scratches on my furniture due to Legacy movers (Tommy and Jonathan) being reckless/careless. I’ve never seen this much damage to my furniture in a move before. Do better.
