Local movings has just denied my claim due to the fact that I had two additional people helping me. They forced me to sign a waiver 45 minutes AFTER MY PEOPLE STARTED HELPING!! The movers ADMITTED TO DAMAGING MY PROPERTY (COUCH, MY DAUGHTER'S BED, AND STOLE HER BIKE). A bunch of freaking crooks. How dare you charge AS MUCH AS YOU DO AND TREAT CONSUMERS THIS WAY!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!! BUYERS BEWARE, THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS ARE SCAMMERS!!! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE OUTCOME!!!

It pains me to write this as I have used them in the past. I was overcharged for mileage, and my property was kicked around and damaged by the movers. I paid 3 movers to help me move PLUS. I had 3 of my own. My people were helping out for 45 minutes when I was asked to sign a waiver because if anything got destroyed, they were not responsible. I'm like, why now, 45 minutes in, you know? Come to find out, the same mover that was kicking my things around broke one of the screws on my couch leg.

Local Movings canceled my move TWICE!! 2 days in a row; and last minute at 6pm to where I couldn’t book a different company!!! Wasted TIME and cost me highly for extra 2 days’ stay in my apartment.What an unprofessional way to conduct a business! Use only if you are willing to waste your hard earned money. Movers??? Came in 4 hours late. I asked for 26 feet truck but they brought 18 feet truck. My stuff didnt fit in it so they sent 26 feet truck. Charged me for 2 trucks and 6 men and extra time. Several things broken. Left the stuff where they want. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!

Use anyone else just NOT Local Movings! I booked and paid for a 2 hour, 3 movers & a truck appointment 13 days in advance of moving my Dad to an assisted living facility in Livingston TX. The following day I received email confirmation, reviewed and signed the documents, provided the additional details requested and spoke to Heather in the Houston office twice.

I would recommend you go elsewhere with your moving business needs. First and foremost, keep in mind that you are paying for the time spent on your move. I was lured in by the $299 “deal” for 2 hours. My move should have been a 2 hour move. I know this because I moved previously. My move ended up lasting over 4 hours. There was a 3-man moving team, but the third gentleman was a waste of space. He literally stood around like he didn’t have anything to do. The other guys stopped to take smoke breaks on the clock.

I hired Local Movings to move me from my 3 bedroom home to an apartment. Jose, Manuel, & ? arrived promptly at 8:00 am. The guys were fast and efficient with clearing out the bedroom(s) furniture and getting the boxes onto the truck, maybe the quickest I'd experienced throughout all of my moves and I've moved quite a bit. However, the PROBLEM came when it was time to move the Living room furniture.

Awful experience (June 2023). After signing off the move, their movers side swiped my gate with their truck, damaging it to the point where it is unusable. They then FLED THE SCENE without alerting anyone. Luckily we have a video camera that caught the whole thing, so after seeing the evidence they had to admit they were at fault, but they are now REFUSING TO PAY FOR A PROPER REPAIR OF THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED.

I had an outstanding experience with Local Movings! John, Gabriel, and Melvin were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were professional, punctual, friendly, and handled all of my belongings with exceptional care. They worked efficiently without rushing and made what could have been a very stressful moving day feel smooth and easy.
