Mayzlin is horrible! I would never use them again. Lied to a number of times to get my business and then ghosted when I needed information. The account rep Chris who said I'll walk through this with you completely stopped responding to texts, calls, and emails. My items were picked up May 31st and I was quoted a delivery window of June 8-10, noting we "run from the Pentagon to Camp Pendleton all the time" so we should have no problem delivering by then.
They were late to our pack-out window. We had the 3-6p window and they showed up at 7:30p. We had planned to drive up to Greensboro that afternoon. The packers were fine but their inability to show up on time delayed our arrival to 3:30 am. Moreover our delivery window was between 6/24-6/25…it is now 6/26 and our stuff is still missing because they subcontracted the job out to a different company in North Carolina that won’t respond to our calls.
Update: Added 1 star because of a sizable correction to the final cost and a discount on the smaller rental truck. They still took 3 weeks to deliver with terrible communication. If they hadn’t been so aggressively bad at communication and customer service I might have had a positive interaction. Original review follows. They'll tell you what you want to hear to get your money.

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs I would give zero stars if I could. This moving company completely destroyed my trust — and my property. During my move, they broke my TV, and not just that — both of my home office monitors were also damaged beyond repair. The driver even sent me a picture admitting fault, saying I would be reimbursed. So far, so good, right? Wrong. The claims process dragged on for four months.
One of the worst moving experiences I’ve ever had. The person who took my order from Florida was polite and professional, but everything went downhill on moving day. The crew that showed up was a nightmare—they started haggling and changing the price on the spot by adding random charges. It felt completely unprofessional and stressful. Moving is already hard enough, but they made it worse. I was seriously considering losing my deposit and canceling the move altogether.
I strongly recommend avoiding Mayzlin Relocation. Mayzlin picked up my belongings in Seattle on May 27 for a move to Chicago. Today is July 19, and my belongings still have not arrived. I was originally given an already lengthy delivery window of 4–21 business days, which expired on July 14. Despite the missed delivery window, the company has provided no meaningful explanation for the delay and no indication of when I should expect my belongings.
Christian, going past a 21-business-day window with no clear answers is not okay, and we understand why you're frustrated after this many calls and emails. Cross-country moves can hit delays, but that doesn't excuse poor communication, and we want to get you a real answer on where your shipment…
Really disappointing experience with this company. On our first estimate phone call, I walked around the house with a tape measure and gave very specific dimensions to the rep, we also provided our new street address on a wide street with a huge driveway which they looked up on Google maps and approved. I was very particular about providing specifics because I know how moving companies can tack on fees. They gave us our estimate, we agreed.
Hiring Mayzlin Relocation was the biggest mistake of our move. They lured us in with a low initial quote, only to bait-and-switch us with a second quote over $3,000 higher, blaming the first rep for being “wrong”—even though both reps used FaceTime for the estimate. It was late at night when we got the surprise quote hike, and we had no choice but to go along with it. The packing team was mediocre—nothing special—but the real nightmare started after pickup.

Berik & Fedya did an amazing job picking up my stuff in Chicago. Did it really quick as well and for a good price! I want to revise this review to say that Mayzlin has taken around 3 weeks to deliver my stuff from Chicago to Seattle. It's definitely a low-cost, and you get what you pay for. All of my stuff was in the same condition when delivered. But they're broker-like. When getting a move scheduled, they will pick up your items, and take it to the nearest warehouse to hold.
We recently moved from the Indianapolis area to Northern Illinois, and I’m so glad we chose Mayzlin Relocation. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and surprisingly low-stress — which says a lot, considering how overwhelming moving can be. The team was professional, careful, and really paid attention to the details. They asked great questions about what needed to be packed and how we wanted things wrapped, which helped me feel confident that our belongings were in good hands.
I spent several days researching moving companies prior to selecting Long Distance & Out of State Movers Mayzlin Relocation Services. Mayzlin was the only company that would move a single bedroom from a 3-bedroom house. Mayzlin based the square footage on a single bedroom efficiency apartment and the price was far less than the other relocation companies and very reasonable. The Mayzlin moving crew in Deming New Mexico, Andrei and Sergei, were excellent.
