In their own words
AVOID THIS COMPANY: Unprofessional and Damaging Move This company was hired for a local move based on a detailed itemized list they prepared, yet they arrived with a truck that was grossly undersized, resulting in a significant portion of our furniture being left behind. They dropped off the first load and never returned for the remaining items. When questioned about the discrepancy, the company claimed their movers do not use the itemized list.
I am now the second customer in the past 6 months complaining about theft by employees of this company. Maryland Movers' response is NO RESPONSE. No customer service or professionalism about reported issues. It appears that company management condones this behavior by their employees. I utilized this company's services multiple times in the past and never had an issue until my recent move. There is a thief(s) working in their moving crews.
No! My daughter recently use this company to move into her new place. Soon after the move, she realized that her wedding ring that was in her nightstand was missing. She called the company to speak with the manager. The person who was leading the move, stated that he found an empty wedding ring box behind her night table, but that he put the ring box back into the night stand, the mover said he never looked into the ring box (however, he also never told my daughter that he found a ring box during the move.
The crew moving us from Maryland to Florida worked hard, but not smart. We contracted for the full packing service, and a significant amount of our furniture and possessions arrived damaged or destroyed. For example, dining table leaves were simply strapped to the side of the truck with no padding around them at all, resulting in significant scratching. Some packers did a good job, others were sloppy, just throwing things in boxes, resulting in a box of shattered glass.
I can't believe I had a representative from this company give me a quote of over $6000 to move me less than 30 miles from my house, and all my bedrooms were empty. Everything but a couple items like TV's were still in only two rooms, and everything else was boxed in the garage. Quote was for 1 truck, 6 movers, and 17 hours. You would think I was moving out the country. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!
Good luck if they mess up your property. They trick you into paying saying they will make repairs. Then they proceed to ignore emails and phone calls. I emailed them for MONTHS with no responses. Then they tell you “well you paid why did you pay if we damaged your property”. I wouldn’t recommend this company.
What an absolute heartbreaking experience. The men were kind, the quality of the furniture we received was a horrible sight. Shattered glass they won’t admit was done by them, even attempted to blame a security company who wasn’t even …

In their own words
Number 1- the price they quoted me was VERY fair! Now, to the review. Marland Movers provided me with a seamless, hassle-free, and courteous moving experience yesterday from Columbia to Hagerstown. They took such great care of everything. And they worked at such a quick pace and were just very dedicated and hard working, and kind. Stayed in regular communication with me. Did a thorough review before the move. Such a great experience!
Arrived on time and got to work right away. These guys are awesome and efficient. They were super careful with my belongings and everything got to my new home in the same condition as when it left. Better prices than all the competition. I highly recommend them.
January 10th, 2022: Maryland Movers came to my apartment and did an excellent job with the packaging of furniture, and being really professional. An excellent job they did and I would highly recommend this moving company to anyone who needs to move either from their house, condo, apartment, etc. Also, a very reasonable price on doing the job! Fantastic customer satisfaction and high quality.
I have moved nearly 20 times, cross-country, between countries. This is the very best moving company I’ve ever worked with, they are so good that I used them even once I left the state of Maryland. In particular, Aaron is an incredible foreman. Gai is a supreme estimator. They are a very fair business and they get the job done with a high degree of competence and quality. My only complaint - the crew worked long hard hours but didn’t have a hotel set up for them by HQ until nearly midnight.
