In their own words
Avoid Von Paris Moving & Storage. Their crew disassembled our Knoll tulip table without permission, broke it, admitted it — and took the marble top and hardware with them. We never got it back. They also failed to properly track parts, leaving multiple items — including our shelving — impossible to reassemble. Most concerning: they promised to fix everything and never followed through. We’ve been chasing them for months and only get excuses. We’re left with missing pieces, broken furniture, and no resolution.
Hi Erika. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have no record of this incident or a file matching your description in our system. Integrity in our work is our top priority, and we would like to get to the bottom of this … More
I would never recommend Von Paris for anyone's moving needs. They came highly recommended, and our experience was very disappointing. They scratched up our new hard wood floors, lost a crystal lamp, damaged glass, and broke drawers to a bedroom set. After filing a claim for $3,290, their third party insurance company sent a settlement letter for $415. The remarks stated on there claim was "No notations or comments on inventory log". Even though we sent pictures of all damages.
Hello JR, thank you for taking the time for your review. We are sorry that your moving experience was not up to our company standards. We would like to discuss your claim further. Please give Litsa Wethern a call at [phone removed].
I was extremely disappointed with the service we received from Von Paris during our move. Due to the price and time quoted for a complete move, we only used them for packing and loading of a UHaul. The packers showed up on time and started packing. They got to a point that they were “almost done” and left early on day 1. Day 2 they arrived on time and started packing and loading. The packing was not “almost done.” We had expected to leave around 1-2pm for our move.
We are truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. We have reviewed your experience with our quality control team to further enhance and educate our teams during self haul moves. Please feel free to reach out to discuss further as we value you as our customer.
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. I got a quote for a three man crew and total move time of 9 hours. When the crew came, the driver told me he brought a fourth man because he felt the move would go faster. Well, the move took twelve hours and I was charged an additional $300. I didn't ask for the additional man so I felt that I shouldn't have to pay for him. I complained to the company and I was told I would not be charged for the additional man .
Salesman Sean O is a liar. The company knows he lies and they continue to allow it. An otherwise awesome experience with Von Paris moving was ruined by a lying salesman. He knew what he was saying was a lie and said it anyway. I have emailed him and the company CEO hoping the next person won’t have to deal with this ridiculousness that cost us $2000 extra plus. It’s a shame he is allowed to get away with this.
David, we are deeply saddened by your experience. Please know that your situation was an exception and that our team has actively been trying to address your concerns. As you can see on other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and … More
I'm very disappointed. I got a flier in the mail for this company that specifically lists cities in Northern VA as well as cities that are right next to where I am moving. After requesting a quote and giving the addresses, I get a an email …
We hired Joe Von Paris for a move from DC to NC. The pre-move experience was great. The packers were wonderful. The day of the actual move they sent a truck that was too small. There was NOBODY at Von Paris we could contact to express our …
Beware – Do not fall for this company’s blatant lies, deceit and fraud. The sales pitch and actual execution are wrought with gross misrepresentations and flat-out fraud. We contracted under terms that included very specific dates, terms …

In their own words
We contacted Von Paris early in our move and right from day one things were smooth and professional in the hands of Julia, our assigned move coordinator. We had an outstanding experience with this moving company from start to finish. They moved our belongings more than 400 miles, stored everything safely for two months, and then delivered it to our new home without a hitch. The entire process was handled with professionalism and care.
Thank you, Jeannine! We're delighted to hear about your smooth and professional experience with Julia and the entire team at Von Paris. Your kind words about their efficiency and care truly mean a lot to us. We're glad we could make your move easier and more organized.
They showed up on time the day that was scheduled for my move and the crew did an excellent job of wrapping and blanketing my furniture to protect it. I would definitely use them again.
Thank you, Ivan! We're glad to hear that our team was punctual and took great care in protecting your furniture. We appreciate your trust and look forward to serving you again in the future!
As a first time interstate mover for an entire household, I was hesitant and full of questions. However, the team at Von Paris was outstanding in allaying my fears from the initial inquiry to the final box being delivered. This is an outstanding outfit. The Team answered my multitude of questions and their white glove treatment throughout the entire operation reassured me that my household treasures would be cared for.
Thank you, Robert! We appreciate your kind words and are glad our team could support you throughout your move. It's great to hear you felt reassured and well taken care of. If you ever need our services again, we’ll be here for you!
The move went fantastic and I cannot thank you enough! Hands down, best crew. Our lead was Polin. He was incredibly professional, patient, and just kind. His team clearly cared about doing a great job and you can just tell that they enjoyed working together. This was our second move needed this summer and the first one with a different moving company was not good. It was just a completely different vibe than what we experienced the first time in such a positive way.
Thank you, Erica! We're so glad to hear that your move went fantastically and that Polin and the team made such a positive impact. It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the little touches like the carpet runners. We truly value your feedback and are grateful you chose us for both moves!
